    So not really knowing about anvils I picked up a 15lb hf anvil, heated up a peice of steel placed it gave a few wacks and I was leaving big dents on it, hahaha, so I Picked this up, cleaned it up a little, paint, its 12 inches long..aww its so much better.. :thumbup:

    Was wonder if its normal for the jaw that retracts to be a little loose, if I move side to side its loose, is this normal, it works perfect,open and closes and clamps tight as heck, ......???

    Picked up this Athol 614 1/2 bench vise on CL for 35$.....it was painted gold, I rigged a electrosis tub and soaked both peices for about 6 hours , wire brushed, lube spindle, painted silver, , first time ever doing a project like this , it was fun ,
