I think the ramps are good for bigger cars, but if I get tired of them I can remove them and mount a steel plate there instead. Today I added a pegboard to the tool cart. Now I just need to buy some hooks and socket holders.

After a painful visit to the dentist this morning, I felt that I needed a reward. So I bought me a new tool cart. =) The old one is so weak that every part of it bends or falls apart. The new one weighs in at 65 kg and takes 385 kg load. It feels really solid.

The plan was to put the power pack on a shelf, for that I needed longer hoses so I went to a local hydraulic company and bought three new ones. Back home it turned out that it was pretty tough to put the new ones and the old ones together and with the last coupling I damaged the threads. At the...

Thanks. I bought mine from www.anabint.com (Swedish company), it cost some more, but I wanted Swedish warranty and a quick delivery. It's made in China, I don't know which brand it is, but the model MFC-100.

I really hope so, it wasn't funny and it's dust all over the garage from cutting the concrete. =) I'm afraid I f*cked earlier today. I put on a thin layer of self leveling screed (correct word?). The first pit went just fine, but when I mixed the screed for the second one it seemed a little...

    A(nother) Swedish garage

Long time since last post, but here's an update on the latest project. I do a lot of things in the garage without a car on the scissor lift so I wanted the lift flushed to the floor. It was much more work than I thought but now I'm almost done.

The mesh is standard, think it was 150x150mm and 6mm diameter. The drainpipe is made of PVC. It's the houses mains cable that runs in the yellow pipe. The meter box is inside the garage, it's not by the code. But the electric company doesn't come so often and I can blame that there wasn't a...

    A(nother) Swedish garage

I got a new garage door, a little bigger than the old one so I had to open up the wall a little. But when it was time mount the tracks I saw that they sent me tracks for torsion springs, but I must use extension springs. So for two weeks waiting for the right tracks I had to use a tarp as garage...

There's not much progress with the garage, to many customer cars in it. But sometimes something happens. I finally ordered a scissor lift. It was a pita to get it into the garage (it weighs 850kg) , but once in place I really love it. As soon as I get some time, I will lower it into the...

    Mark's Monster Garage....3800 sq ft

Since I think one of the biggest disadvantage of a 2 post lift is just the lousy access to the door I would go with the Benpak.

It's about time for an update on the garage, but it's so messy right now so you have to wait a couple of days more. I thought that I could show one of my toys instead: It's a Crescent/Monark 1189, probably from mid 70's. The original 1hp, 2-stroke 49cc, 3-speed engine has been replaced with a...

    The Concrete Underground

I guess it's really different here in Sweden compared to the US. I think different heat-pumps have been the given choise in new houses for the last 20 years. We use geothermal, ground, air to air, air to water and exhaust air heat pump. In our house we put in a exhaust air heat pump, it costed...

Yes, the boat was new for me. When I took the boat for a test drive, it made 31mph with me and the seller onboard. The first ride at home it made 28mph with me alone. The next ride it just made 24mph with me and my family (they weight about was much a the seller). The fourth ride I came just...
