Best way to make a rough concrete floor smooth

The more I think about tiling, the more I like the idea. It’s something I can do myself (I’ve tiled plenty of floors in the past) plus I can decide on color/pattern. I appreciate all of the advice so far. It probably won’t happen this year due to everything else I have going on, but definitely...

Best way to make a rough concrete floor smooth

That makes me think of the “clinker” tiles we had at the BMW dealership. Not a bad idea, actually…..

Best way to make a rough concrete floor smooth

I was considering this for a while, but apparently there are better products out there? I’ll have to do more research on that. For right now, a smooth floor would be nice…..

Best way to make a rough concrete floor smooth

Jack stand, I mainly want it smoother so things will roll more smoothly across the floor. I usually use at least cardboard to lay on while under a car, so me laying on it is not as much of an issue, however sliding under a car quickly isn’t happening😂. I just wasn’t sure if a grinder would...

Best way to make a rough concrete floor smooth

I’m not expecting it to be perfectly smooth and it’s not perfectly level, either. My concern with self-leveling is I’d be afraid it wouldn’t hold up, but I have VERY limited experience with it. The space is 12’x22’ as the other half of the garage is keep rough for now as that will be my main...

Best way to make a rough concrete floor smooth

I have an existing garage floor that has a brushed finish on it and I was wondering what I can do to make it smooth. It looks like when the floor was poured, they used a push broom to finish it for a rough/textured surface. While I like the floor if it gets wet, it would be nice to have a smooth...

    Garage door roller dilemma

I’ll look for the broken parts this weekend and post pictures. My wife trams to move things and not tell anyone, so we’ll see…..

    Garage door roller dilemma

The picture is of one that is not broken so everyone knows what it is supposed to look like. The axle itself is what broke and I was just seeing if anyone in here has any experience with this type of antique roller repair or if someone could point me to a new style that would possibly be a good...

    Garage door roller dilemma

Have any good suggestions for what to replace it with? The door is heavy, so I would like something that will hold up and not sure if anything the big box stores have would do that.

They are neat. I can buy them on fleabay for about $50-$100/ea, but I’m just trying to see if there might be other options.

    Garage door roller dilemma

I am trying to figure out whether to replace me barn door rollers with new units or try to find an antique replacement. One of the axles broke on one of my barn doors, so the wheel is no longer attached to the base. I have no experience with repairing, but have a few questions: 1) Is it...

    Outlet for dishwasher

I have a good electrician I can ask. He’s the one I had do my upgrade and I also play pickleball with him! I’ll see what he says on Sunday when I play with him. The framing for the dishwasher won’t be done for a week or so, which will provide me good access if I need to change anything in there...

    Outlet for dishwasher

I appreciate the answers and here is my response: I ended up doing a direct wire to the dishwasher. I originally thought it was in its own circuit, but then I followed the wire in the basement and found it wired into a “junction box”, which was a single electrical box with no cover, which has...

    Outlet for dishwasher

TRWham, yes, it only protects the dishwasher. There are no other outlets attached to it other than the one behind the dishwasher.
