Lift modifications Thread- Lets see them!

Stupid question: For those screwing on outlets onto their lift posts, what did you use to drill out the hole through that thick metal plating? Any special bit or will a standard carbide work without much slipping? Did you guys use self tapping screws afterwards or nut/bolts? Thanks

4 post lifts : hobby lifts Peak 408p Vs Atlas 408SL

I ended up with the Peak 408-HP. It's sitting in the garage and waiting to be installed (too cold right now to work in the garage)

Coval Concrete in Satin after Formula 137 failure

Also, let me know the durability of this stuff. My garage is only a 1.5 car garage so there isn't much traffic in and out of it (other than tire tracks)

Coval Concrete in Satin after Formula 137 failure

OP, I also sprayed down Coval Concrete. I noticed that if the floor is wet from snow/slush, it is extremely slick. Depending on your location, I tossed some clear silica sand and sprayed another coat of Coval to provide a grippier surface. I haven't really tested oil penetration with the...

Extra Long vs Standard 4 Post Lift - Maximize Garage Space?

The stored car will be raised above my height, as I have enough ceiling clearance. No need to wear a hardhat around the lift.

Extra Long vs Standard 4 Post Lift - Maximize Garage Space?

Thanks everyone for your reply! I have a high lift garage door with a side mounted opener already. I can purchase the aluminium ramps (or race ramps) to make my life easier. I guess I'm debating if the extra long is worth it as a car below will be driven in and out daily, especially in the...

Extra Long vs Standard 4 Post Lift - Maximize Garage Space?

Hi, I have a 1.5 car garage and I'm debating whether to go with an extra-long lift (238" w/ramps), or just a standard length lift (207" w/ramps). Both will be extra tall as I have the garage height. The two models I'm eyeing are the Peak 409-HP and 408-HP. I'm eyeing the extra-long as it...
