    Insulating Garage Doors

    Like Floorguy, I used the insulated foam panels (I got mine at Lowe's) cut to fit. They were one-half inch thick so I laid one piece on top of another. Be sure to get enough adhesive. I needed sixteen tubes of Liquid Nails!

    My 125VAC electric gable garage fan bit the dust last weekend and I wondering if I should replace it with one of the new solar panel powered units? I like the idea of “free” power, but the high initial cost of the solar units is a concern. I wonder if the solar units are more reliable as well...

    What's the best way to mount FL lights?

    I once used two toggle bolts to hang a 4-bulb (T12) four-footer with reflector from a drywall ceiling. I had to center the fixture above my main workbench which prevented me from using the joists. I first “tested” it by using only one toggle bolt and even with one bolt the drywall did not crack.
