    Frustrated with BHnorthamerica

Ordered a 10 piece set of Starfire Ulimate cabinets. Gorgeous cabinets but I got shorted one side of one of the wall cabinets. No big deal I can handle that. I realized last night that it was missing and waited to call today. Their information that was sent with the cabinets says they're...

Clear urethane coating and prep scratches

I guess I'll jump back in here on my thread. I've heard what I should do to prep the floor, but can anyone answer the question of why the scratches won't show through the clearcoat? Also, I've got very small bubbles which are sharp around the "popped" part of the bubble. I'm wondering how...

Clear urethane coating and prep scratches

Ok, my floor right now is amazingly glossy and I don't want to ruin what I've already got! Thank you.

Clear urethane coating and prep scratches

I am going to be installing a clear aliphatic urethane top coat over my 2 week old 100% solid epoxy floor w/medium flake. As I under stand it, I'm supposed to "scuff sand" the floor with 100 grit sandpaper, vacuum, and wipe down with D-alchohol prior to applying the clear. My question is, if...

Repairing a small section of epoxy coating?

Thanks for the tip, I'll hopefully receive the touch up kit soon and get it finished up!

Repairing a small section of epoxy coating?

Needs to be repaired because of hardner getting spilled on floor during curing process left 6-12 uncured spots dime to nickel in size, floor prep was good, not peeling, no roller marks, very tiny bubbles, no primer, single coat, and no clearcoat. It's one of the 100% solids systems used by...

Repairing a small section of epoxy coating?

I have a couple of small areas 3" X 5" that need to be repaired. This is a Polyaspartic coating and I've ordered a "touchup" kit from the manufacturer. How do I apply the new epoxy? Should I make a cut around the damaged sections and scrape down to the bare concrete leaving nice square edges...

    Epoxy flakes application

    What is this stuff? Sealer?

It's not painted. you're probably right about water emulsifying a melted coating. I'm thinking it's probably a cure and seal type product. The floor does have a smooth shiny appearance where the gas wasn't.

    What is this stuff? Sealer?

Hoping the experts here can point me in the right direction. My son spilled a small amount of gasoline on my shop floor. He tried to clean it up with the hose. When he sprayed it down, a white stringy, plasticky, and very sticky substance came off of the floor. You can now see exactly where...

    LED Lighting Inside Garage

I'm going to use the 6" disc retrofit LED lights from HD that install using a normal ceiling J box. I hear it's best to use an oversize box though as it can be a tight fit. 75W equivalent uses 14.5 watts. They're $37 a piece and our local utility is giving a $20 per unit rebate!! I'm going...

Hey everyone, wanted to say thanks for the awesome site! I've been lurking for a while and have gotten a lot of great info! I'm building a 28' x 32' detached garage "shop" and am to the point of insulating and sheetrock. I'm sure you'll be hearing from me!! Troy

    LB concealed in a wall?

Haha, no I didn't. That's another one of those shoulda's Ive come across with this project. I've built a 28' X 32' shop from the concrete up with mostly the Internet for guidance. I've had some help from friends, but to say it's been a learning experience would be an understatement of vast...

    LB concealed in a wall?

James, my main reason for posting the question was to find out if it was against code. If is was OK with the NEC I would go ahead and do it. As I found out it was not an approved application, I went forward with my install and found that a 90 degree sweep worked out perfectly and the LB is now...
