I should have probably specified this, but it's only for cosmetic reasons. I think the chrome on my Proto set is brighter than the SK set I have. I also like the cleaner look of the Proto lettering (although sometimes it isn't as easy to read as the SK). I've never broken a socket from either...

Either one is high quality and you won't be disappointed in either choice. I like the SK ratchet better than the Proto, but I like the Proto sockets better. So I have both, but I also have a wife that doesn't care how much I spend on tools.

Screwdrivers - even my wife likes them better than all the other ones I have in the house (she doesn't know how much they cost though).

I've also had good luck with Norseman bits purchased from Harry Epstein.

I have two of these that I have inherited over the years. I assume this is some kind of punch, but I can't figure out what it would be used for.

The only thing I have used them for is to drill holes in the bottoms of clay pots for drainage.

If you are using a rotary hammer, I would go with Bosch bits. If you have a hammer drill, then I think that you might have to use a Vermont American bit (am not positive they make a bit that large, but they're the only company I know of that might). Also, if you have a star drill that you can...
