How big of a hole? I have some forstner bits from Milwaukee that are large diameter and self fed that is great. But the 2-9/16" bit is $50 and the 3" is $80

I pulled the trigger today and ordered a CNC. I got an X-Carve by Inventables; 500mm x 500mm and was $760 for everything.

Two questions:
1) How can I safely cut these raised panels?
I used the table saw set at a 30° angle and brought the fence in about 1/2” away. I used one of my Micro Jig resaw tools and pushed it through. This was not very safe and didn’t balance the best
2) Should i glue the barrel hinges in...
Two wine displays I just finished. If anyone has some suggestions about cutting acrylic and drilling holes that would be appreciated

I’d hog out as much as possible with a combination of different forstner bits before I went to the router. Less stress in the router

Does anyone have a router cnc? I’ve been researching these extensively lately, and I was wondering if anyone here had some experience.

Just finished a picture frame for my wife.
Made from cherry I had left over from another project. I definitely remember why I don’t like miters, I always have issues with them coming together properly.

Went and got some lumber today and wanted to see what other people are paying for lumber. I picked up 8/4 cherry for $6.99/bf 8/4 Walnut for $13.99/bf 8/4 hard Maple for $6.99/bf and 4/4 Padauk for $9.99/bf. Seems like I might be getting gypped.
