Only went in and out of the garage a few times today to grab tools to replace a leaking bathroom sink faucet. Wound up having to make a trip to HD for a new faucet.
Only one trip? For plumbing? Wow.

Ther was a time when all my tools would fit into one of those (or just-about). Poor as could be and no $ for anything w/4 wheels worth spending my slim $ on. I have one of the Crown-top Craftsman 2-drawers like that, which I still have filled w/seldom-needed tools I once used much-more.
This used to be my travel kit. I'd fill it with tools anytime the MIL asked me to come help with a project at her house. The projects always changed, so I always needed different tools.Ther was a time when all my tools would fit into one of those (or just-about). CarMax offered me $1000. Carvana $500. For my 2002 Volvo C70 convertible. I'm the original owner. No accidents. Essentially spotless inside and out. Problem was I had a manual transmission. Not many people like them. Sold it for $3,800.@rharman Well you asked. 2017 was requested by 2 folks, I priced at much less than market, higher than Carvana buyout and both backed out. Headed to marketplace soon as I don't need 2.
Just completed a 4 day drive of 2600 miles in the 2025 Ridgeline. Impressions, adaptive cruise control in traffic is helpful, when on a moderately traveled interstate, its a pia-no notification that speed is slowing, so you get stuck slowing down, instead of changing lanes. Mileage--using regular 87octane fuel (which is not the most mpg fuel), best going south @78mph 25.2, worst ~22, going north @78/80mph 19.4, some headwind, best was 24.2. Trip average was 22.6, not great but okay. Rides like 2017, comfortable, but I'm struggling to like all the driver assist features. Couple things I'm trying to determine-google helped some, when the cruise slows the truck do the brake lights come on-google says only if brake applied, second is can I accelerate when cruise slows automatically or does this just create more engine-transmission braking. This I need to research. Overall not much different between models.
That mileage doesn't sound bad to me. Of course, out here, the A/C is on most of the time. I do use ECO mode when possible. Got 27-29mpg on a couple of long road trips - even with A/C and going up Grapevine hill.@rharman Well you asked. 2017 was requested by 2 folks, I priced at much less than market, higher than Carvana buyout and both backed out. I still have my first Craftsman tool box, bought around 1969 or 70 in Chicago, as a set full of tools. Now it's used for smaller odds and ends but I still have most of the original tools.

Yep, been there.Fast forward to today, nice 50 degrees and sunny, opened the garage door and while fumbling around I noticed another switch on the right side of the garage door that I'd forgotten about because its partially hidden by the tall CASTROL OIL cabinet I built last year.
LIGHTBULB goes off in my head....Yep its connected to the switch on the back wall of the shop office. Flipped the switch and TA DA!!! the other overhead light comes on in the office. I'm such a dumb ***....
Received mine as a Christmas present around 1969 as well.

This was my dad's too.I have the same box It was dad's.
I lost power to the overhead ceiling outlet that the HF lights in the shop office are plugged into last week, so I rigged up an extension chord to a wall outlet and plugged in one of the lights to use while I checked all the breakers, test the switch itself, searched the attic for a random connection, etc. Nothing, no power to the switch. Gave up, too cold in the garage/shop.

Me too. There are two switches, one by the garage wall and another by the entrance to the house on the far wall. There is a duplex receptical located in the ceiling between them (just so happens it is in the shop office ceiling where the entrance to the house is located) I don't know how its wired, but with the switch off by the garage door, the switch on the far wall does not get power so I could not turn on the HF lights that are plug into that duplex receptical. This ceiling receptical was added some time ago by someone other then me or the previous owners, my in-laws. Interesting thing is to turn the lights ON you have to switch the toggle down and up to turn OFF.I'm confused. You make it sound like the switches are wired in series. Is that correct?
(she does have a skull & bone collection)If you decide to do something different, I'll take the box and tray off your hands. That is the exact box I bought my first tools in as a Sears tool set combo in 1962
Whoop! That’s my Alma Mater and my major. I never used the degree for anything related to biomedical devices, but I have used the engineering principles I learned in my career. My niece got accepted to the bioengineering program at my Alma mater. My sister asked if I could make her a yard sign.
I have some leftover fiberglass and epoxy from the kayak build. I figure I could make something to last through a south Texas summer.
Tonight I got the logo traced out using the Pico projector on the shop laptop. Tomorrow morning I'll cut it out and weatherproof it.

My box has a grey tote, same as the box, and is original. I have another from a garage sale, also with grey tote (also crowntop).Nice old box! Mine's from the Crowntop era.
I'm curious, just what is the right tote for these? I have found two red ones, including one that looks quite similar to yours. The box as it was given to me by Granddad has a gray tote, but the catalogs from the same time as he received the box as an anniversary gift in the '60s all show a tote like yours in the box.
