I never liked SKs ratchets (only used the old US made versions).

I do own their new ratcheting combo wrenches and the long reach pliers.

Both are very nice and made in China.

I would prefer Taiwan for COO, but China CAN and DOES make some quality product.
The new SK ratchets are fine... They are a typical mid-tier Taiwanese ratchet, 90T low profile, I'd be willing to bet they come out of the same factory as the Gearwrench 90T and the Quinn 90T low profile.

Moderate backdrag, not Ko-ken level by any means, not bad though. Great polish, A kind of cool squarish handle, simple design, attractive, and reasonably priced. And it's cool to have the SK name on their, even if it is only a shadow of what it once was...

I use the **** out of this Hercules impact driver. It's small and will take anything loose on a race car. Also use it to run fasteners snug then hand tighten them to final torque. Probably shouldn't have figured out how handy it was for trailer wheels. I originally bought Hercules hex to square adapters, thinking they'd be the safety valve and break before the chuck did. That's all good until you're halfway through something and one breaks.

So, I replaced them with these Klein adapters. They're only .020" larger than the Hercules where it broke. I'm hoping for better metallurgy.

I got tired of snapping adapters so I did this

I use this thing everyday at work. Plan on making another one for the house soon.

My Milton 697-OP2 EZ-Lock European air chuck arrived yesterday. Should make airing up easier than the screw-on chuck that came with the M18 inflator.

2 for $12 from the Big river.

I'll try it out this afternoon.
BTW: If you're contemplating this swap, the hose barb is 1/8" hose X 1/8" MNPT. I used a reducing bushing to mate it to the 1/4" FNPT chuck. If you can find one with 1/8" X 1/4" MNPT, you can skip that part. The Oetiker clamp I used to secure the hose is 10.2 mm.

This "Common and Phillips" screwdriver set, a Home Depot online purchase, was just dropped off at my house, awhile ago, from UPS!

The delivery 🚚 driver (when he handed the package to me) told me that hopefully nothing was damaged due to the condition of the 📦 package.

My response was that hopefully nothing, because they are just tools….after opening the package and inspection, etc.….would determine that.

LOVE THEM!

They remind me of my red handle heavy duty Vessel set, very similar.
(Heck for all I know the company that brands this set (Best Value) could've had it contracted out to VESSEL and made by them?)

 !!!!!!!!!!

This arrived yesterday and I put it to work right away. Before this, I've tried detail sanders that were all vibration-ridden pieces of ****. While this still involves more effort than doing nothing, the dust collection is fantastic. I'd never consider myself a Festool fanboy, but over the years, I've picked-up a few here and there. I still sorta cringe, but If I'm not worth it, who is?

For the most part, I don't think the value proposition is there, but this gets a "thumbs-up" from me, as do their vacuums / dust collectors for use with power tools.

Also - the Bahco carbide scraper - fantastic tool for small $.

Hozan N33 angled nippers. Like my other Hozan pliers, top-shelf quality. These are quite sharp, can’t wait to try them. Too many people sleeping on this brand for precision pliers.

NT cutter 30°. I have a plastic version that I have grown to cherish over the last year, so I ordered another in the metal housing variety.

PB Swiss PH0 driver to complete a set. They don’t make one with the precision handle that matches most the set, so I went with this cool gray/greenish one from their rainbow set.

FYI, as an alternative the Jaco S2X hose screws right onto the existing M18 inflator, and works incredibly well.

In my experience, none of the screw-in adapters worked well. They had enough backpressure to cause the inflator to cycle repeatedly while airing up a tire--something it doesn't do with the threaded chuck it comes with and hopefully won't with this. I still haven't tested it.

I picked up the surface conditioning tool from HF to clean up the roof of my project Mustang and get some rattle can primer on it for protection until I'm ready to strip and paint the whole thing. Worth every penny even at full price.

I won't get into a debate, but you are going to need to strip that to bare metal again and then treat it with something like Metal Prep by Por 15. And then sand it off and go forward.

You can sand off the rust, but it's almost always going to come back- you need to chemically kill it.

Capri Tools Metric thin wrench set:

Believe it or not I have that saw but it is about 20 years old or more and branded ”Craftsman Professional”. It’s a really good hacksaw.

I also literally ordered one of those Capri wrenches last night. I bought a duratech set which was missing the one size I actually needed, the 15mm. I ordered the 14/15 mm wrench. Of course at this point I don’t need it.

Some tiny items I got today, resting on a KTC D999THRB silicone tray.

KTC BR2S 1/4" ratchet
Koken 3725ZSB 3/8" ratchet
Hozan N31 mini flush cutters
Tone QA-02S spinner.

These tone spinners are not the fanciest, but of the other brands I have, the traction on your fingers is superior on these.
The KTC 1/4" ratchet is not a low back drag unit, but it is really crisp and clean.

Those look nice !

How do they feel in your hand ?
what would you compare them to ? channel lock, Klein, Icon or Knipex being the top of the line

Ive got a -
red handle drawer
Green handle drawer
and
a few yellow handles in small drawer not pictured

I might have to get a few of those !

slowly getting rid of my older blue handles (channel locks ) After using Knipex

That is hands down a fantastic sander. I bought mine in ‘16 (was only “EQ” back then) and it’s my most used sander, I’ve easily put it through surely a hundred hours, if not more, of sanding and I love everything about it. Compact size, weight, can gently pet a surface or really get some material removed by using the right grit. Ergonomics are another big win for this one. Has really nothing to do with being a “fan boy”, Festool has a couple of incredible products were they just got everything right - this is one of them.

And because I’m using mine that much for everything, I’m thinking about buying the newly release, larger DTSC-200.

Kind regards,
Olli

Interesting. Mine cycles several times with the original screw on chuck. I haven't noticed any difference using the JACO extension. It seems to cycle just the same.
