My compressor did that a while back when I plumbed in my air system. Luckily I caught it pretty quick with my garage cam and was able to get my neighbor to stop in and unplug the compressor before any damage occured. Funny thig was the only reason I caught it was because i had a motion alert in the shop, which was my wife leaving the house and I was trying to harass her from the shop cam when I heard it running.
Lucky, I’m looking into WiFi smoke detectors or something. The only reson we cought it was because I asked my wife to move something for the garage door guts

More bronco work last weekend, cleaning and wire removal.
Was going to mount this winch to the top of the bumper but hated to look and flow to
Radiator IMG_7446.jpeg
So the escalated to the bumper coming off and working on getting it behind it. I need to run to father in-laws shop this weekend and use his plasma cutter, i do not have one yet and his is 3 phase. It was to much to do with a cut off wheel IMG_7447.jpeg
IMG_7448.jpeg
I also tore into the small block Chevy for the Land Cruiser too

Not a lot to show, but this weekend my wife decided it was time to tear into her uncle’s Land Cruiser, the only non ford on the property. He had this Toyota for many years before he passed away to cancer before I met my wife. It has a tired 283 out of a junk yard in the 80s in it. We are just swapping in a 305 ( it don’t need a lot of power) since I lost the discussion, I wanted to put a Cummins R2.8 in it. It’s in her bay in the shop.

I worked on the bronco a little to made a pannel to fill the air box hole in the firewall, my first time bead rolling, so it was fun to try, sorry no pics. I also got the hydroboost set up from a superduty mounted, so I can start on brake lines.

The last two weeks we got out the shop and made some progress even after having Covid take me down for a week. The bronco project started out just moving some cage parts, to cutting up some of it plus moving it all forward, IMG_7664.jpeg

Gutted out the interior, going to build a dash in the cage, plus made a pannel to fill the hvac box hole.IMG_7663.jpeg

In my wife’s bay we took the small block out of the Land Cruiser. IMG_7669.jpegIMG_7671.jpeg

Been slow shop progress lately, I did manage to clean out my third bay and my buddy used it to put a wheel bearing in his super duty. I have the 77 street truck in there now to go through a few things, to get it ready for summer. Slow progress on bronco project, but getting it figured out to get stuff to fit better in the cage.

Sunday I spent 4 hrs plowing and messing up the driveway and lawn….. the ground isn’t frozen, I was going to not plow but we ended up with 9” of heavy snow. I had to plow the father in laws business to since he’s out of town. So I had this veiw:

Got out in the yard this weekend and tryed to get some of the damage down done by plowing with out the ground frozen. Also got out and worked on the bronco trail truck by putting ball joint eleminators and new bottom ball joints. Hoping to get my parts to finish the front axle this week. Also gathering some parts to bring to an off-road swap meet next weekend.

Slow progress, between dealing with medical stuff, work and full weekends. I did make it to a 4x4 swap meet to get rid of some stuff. Along with selling some projects I’ll never get to. I managed to get my cage going in the direction I want it to and have the stuff to put the front axel together.
Good thing about working at Kenworth dealer is we get good prices on all Dana products…..

I also picked up another tool I have always wanted a tig welder. Now to tech myself how to use it last time I tig welded was 22 years ago… I’ve had to make welder extension cords with the cage build.

Cool that came shipped in a 5’r. Didn’t know that was a thing.
Yeah, my buddy’s all ordered from them a few years back and it came in plain white buckets so he jokes about me getting the fancy bucket….. for another 80 you can get a fancy case that fits it but I’m not a race car guy with spares. The bucket got it here so I’m good
