I had an off brand 40v battery that I pulled out of service after watching that.. It's concerning that they needed CT scans to identify good vs bad.
Just watched, could be holding a miniature death star in our hands. The fake LXT has 6x 3.7v cells, may start by replacing those with branded. Recently bought Makita and Hikoki genuine batteries £65 and £60 for 5ah.

Excellent, glad you were able to get something out of the video. The lack of quality control in the world of drop-shipped Amazon junk.. It's not great. It's hard to trust even the big guys when they start throwing demonstrably false marketing on their products.

Between the prebuilt batteries I got from Amazon and the ones I built myself, I had 3 different capacities in identical housings. That has been solved with the help of my neighbor's multi-toolhead 3D printer. The nameplates are printed in ABS and are 0.6mm thick.
