The frustrating thing is finding an adjustable with a screw that has no slot - it's just a pin driven in with a friction fit. Can't get those apart!

Somewhere here, I found a post that says to whack it on a board, pin down. The sudden stop will help encourage the pin to move.

Obviously, do this over a box, in case the pin is really looser than you realize. On the 4”, you may need a cheater pipe to get the velocity up without mashing your fingers

If I am able to remove the screw, I disassemble the wrench to clean it. If I am unable to remove the screw, I just clean it up as well as I can. I found this 8” adjustable today and will start the cleanup soon.

I was able to take this one apart after it came out of the evaporust. It needed a bit of work with some files for the jaw to totally close. I buffed up the polished chrome area.

I've tried that method (arm movement accompanied by some choice bad words) with no success so far. Those little pins don't have a lot of mass to accelerate.

So I did not research this before posting but I bought 3 dirty ratchets for $2.00 total today at a Dearborn yard sale, a Husky Kenosha, a Bonney and this, which I thought was going to be a Williams by it’s shape.
