Been working on the 356 Porsches all week long in preparation for the Griot’s Garage Cars & Coffee they host the first Saturday of every month. Oil/filter change, adjust the valves, polish and polymer top coat. Finishing up late on Friday evening.
For June, the featured marque is Porsche.

Three of my close friends arrive at my home by 4:50 am and the cars are out on the grass for a little photo shoot:

Convincing my friends to be up at “O Dark-Thirty” to drive for two hours so that we can be an hour early for a two hour show….. is amazing! We all had a great time and the cars ran flawlessly.

A few shots from the show at Griot’s World HQ in Tacoma, WA:

Looks like a great time! Thanks for sharing.

It was a very nice time. These fellows that drove are very easy to be with and are exceptionally careful with the cars and are all classic car owners.

A couple of shots that have surfaced over the last couple of days are below. Amazingly, many people were impressed with the paint on the Speedster........ It is a far cry from when the paint correction started and today, it's pretty much "baby ****" smooth and still loaded with imperfections.

Our regular haunt for lunch in Gig Harbor, The Tides Tavern, would be impacted by a street art festival.... so parking was going to be impossible. We ended up going to Silverdale and hit the Silver Pub & Brewery. Good food, even better parking and good service. Nice.

Thanks for taking the time to post!

Sorry to be late to the party, but Happy Birthday! Great looking cars!
Thanks, Gary! Comments are always welcome any time!

A few shots of Cars & Coffee:

Think we had about 90 cars this past Saturday:

Of course, the “Fab Four” all lined up”

Thanks again for taking the time to post.

Couple of great events that we attend in July.

First, the 300SL Convention that was held in part here on the mainland, then several days on Vancouver Island, Canada.

We started the “Pre-Convention” at a friends home where he arranged for a catered lunch and a open tour of his fabulous collection of cars:

After lunch, the group migrated to my home for afternoon refreshments and a little photo opportunity out on the north lawn…. Many very cool cars:

A few of my cars greeted the 300SLs and several SLS AMGs.

Out on the lawn:

The following day, we head off to Vancouver Island via the Blackball Ferry out of Port Angeles. So very lucky to be the first car off the ferry and to go through customs.

A little parking lot action at the hotel:

On the drive day, we went out to the local race track for a few “warm“ laps:

Ended in the final spot on the track so was able to hold back from the pack and get some almost real track time. None the less, a great time!

After resting up a bit from that trip, we head over to Kenmore, WA for the 38th 356 Bull Session held at St. Edwards Park:

The last day of the gathering, many of the participants visited two incredible collections in Bellevue and Woodinville. Sorry, but we were asked not to share any pictures of these collections on any form of social media. Too bad because they were simply amazing…. BTW, we had 54 356 cars at the main show. Excellent!

Just a few more events for this summer and most all of my planned car events will be over.

Take care and enjoy the rest of your summer.

Thanks Mike. Next good event is this Friday when the Triumph Club rolls in for Cars & Coffee. Should be a great time!!

On a different note, my engine for the Speedster is finally completed!! This restoration is fully configured to exact specifications for 1955.

Now, its just a matter of getting delivered to the shop….

Take care!!
