That doesn't look cheap but I'm sure you can write at least some of it off.
Wow, that bad ?I’m crying inside, but whatever
Yeah, that ain't cheap.I’m crying inside, but whatever
Just an entire new sub panel setup. Feeds one storage building, a drier setup, some airators, and a few motors. Will supply ac units power also. It was working for last 30 years but kinda sketchy and weather finally got to it. On fall we run above ground cords to the mobile units for power, hence the outlets. All the hardwired stuff not on panel yetWhat am I looking at bud. Is that or those suicide cords that were buried?
My hvac guy came out
Said I absolutely stole them and said it’s a huge win
Both 2 stage 10 ton units. 5 tons a stage
Said he’s got haul guards for them and have me specs of how he wants them mounted and where. So start on that disasters
If it's coming off the roof, odds are that it's junk because it's being replaced. Taking a good one off and replacing it is pretty rare. Obviously, demolition and remodels would be the main exceptions.I realized they are being nearly given away off roofs,
It's called bonus depreciation and energy credits. Also, very few commercial owners are going to take the plunge into an RTU. They will open the door, then close it right back up. But that's a solid reason to look before you buy.If it's coming off the roof, odds are that it's junk because it's being replaced. Taking a good one off and replacing it is pretty rare. And don't even think that a commercial building owner is going to fix one any better than a cheapskate residential homeowner. Worse would be a landlord.
It is way more common for a mechanical shop to order the wrong voltage equipment (or the plans/specs are in error- seen it), and then be stuck with it once the oopsie is discovered. You would probably need to know someone to be in on that loop.
The typical used 10 year old rooftop unit is clapped out.
They are mounted, hvac guy has the hail guards but me and him both though wise idea to wrap units in cardboard till he gets there with the hail guards now that he can start doing ductingIt doesn't take much to stop a Trane...
You'll want hail guards.
You'll want the economizer.
If those have micro channel coils, do NOT use anything but plain water to clean them.
That guy isn't screwing around
Looks almost empty. My eletrical supply guy said he dropped off a roll. This is what I came in to
