What I like about this one:

• Free updates for newer vehicles as long as they support it
• user friendly messages to go with codes
• no batteries required or power cords
• no phone required (easier to loan to friends or family) and no hoops to jump through when you upgrade your phone
• some bidirectional functions (better than nothing)
• has data logging and no added latency or issues when transmitting over Bluetooth
• i believe I read you can trigger the logging based on a DTC, so it’s easier to just drive and capture exactly what you’re looking for
• still somewhat glovebox friendly

Lots of choices out there, but this one takes care of the basics and some without the fluff. Good stuff, thanks Ryan!
