A few months back I got my hands on the Innova 5610 and put it through its paces. I’m no OBD2 savant, no garage full of diagnostic pedigree, but the review went clean and the damn thing worked exactly like it was supposed to. No surprises, no fuss, just a tool doing its job in a world where that’s rarer than it ought to be.
Somewhere in the aftermath, Innova came calling. Wanted to know if I’d give one away to you people. Naturally I said yes, because that’s the kind of degenerate optimism that gets a man into trouble. Then real life kicked the door in. I was mid-move, cross-country, boxes stacked to the ceiling, the whole circus, and there was no time to run a giveaway with any kind of dignity.
I’m still not fully unpacked. There are boxes in this shop that may never be opened again, lost to entropy like everything else. But I’ve clawed my way far enough out of the wreckage to make good on the promise.
