So my first tpu print came out well, no problems printing after i got started. However … removing the support trees was a real ******, they were stuck pretty good.
Layer adhesion on tpu is amazing. So my first tpu print came out well, no problems printing after i got started. However … removing the support trees was a real ******, they were stuck pretty good.
Did only one part break? Can you show a picture of the unbroken piece? Thanks for the info LOGANB.
I think I shared mine earlier in the thread but too lazy to go find it. This is my setup for the H2C, the X1C sat on top of a two drawer filing cabinet with a wire rack next to it full of ****.Anybody want to share images of their printer workspace?

What'd you create the files in? I had great luck finding a tag on maker world and applying text in bambu studio.Need help please. Bambu a1 and MakerLab. Creating a series of nametags for a girls basketball team, to clip on their backpack or gym bags. So i have created the tags with the girls names and then clicked file - save as - and saved as a 3mf. But when i go to open them, nothing come up. The slicer is ignoring all the individual information. I want to put 6-8 tags on the plate and print the batch.
.
Alternate … is there a better program to use to create the tags?

Anybody want to share images of their printer workspace? Mine has just been sitting on the floor in my office since I bought it about 2 months ago. A shelf system from curbside bedframes should be installed Monday or Tuesday though. Printer (P2S) and AMS will be on the top shelf. Lower shelves will hold filament in cereal boxes.
What is the over/under on how long I can stay at <= 12 open spools of filament?

Puts mine to shame but here’s my rack which a big improvement over it sitting on the floor since I bought it a couple of months ago.I made my own shelf right after buying my first 3D printer last year. I did so because I couldn't find anything "sturdy" enough at a price point I wanted to pay after hearing about how crazy printers rock back and forth.
Things have changed since this pic but I still have that P1S.
Lots of cool stands out there but again, they can get pricey. Mine was under $100 total.

Thanks for sharing, I'm ordering a X2D in the near future and having no experience was wondering what else I should get when I order it.I've printed about 150 hours so far on my new Bambu X2D.
This is an awesome printer and has a ton of capability, I'm still learning the ropes but it's not too hard to get up to speed.
For anyone considering buying one of these, you should be prepared to order a few accessories at the same time - such as the power adapter for the AMS 2. Without that, you'll be unable to dry while printing.
I'd also get some HEPA filters if you'll be printing with it inside your house.
If you're going to be using engineering filaments I'd pick up a smooth plate, glue, and probably a good dryer (AMS 2 only goes up to 65* C). I need to decide on a dryer and go for it because drying inside the printer is slow...and prevents you from printing anything.
I've been printing a bunch of functional prototype small parts for work, and interspersed with that I've been printing Tool Grid for my toolbox at home. The accuracy of these printers is unbelievable - I was able to get an edge to edge snug fit across a 42" width drawer. When I snapped my final piece of Tool Grid into place everything is locked down with zero movement on the base plates. Now to decide on socket and ratchet holder styles...

The things I got:Thanks for sharing, I'm ordering a X2D in the near future and having no experience was wondering what else I should get when I order it.
Do you clean it off occassionally?Don't forget a place to store your can of Aqua-Net... I love the way that it works for bed adhesive.
I do with mine. Depends on what or where on the bed I am printing but I clean it off with soap and water every 10 printsDo you clean it off occassionally?
Here's what I've bought / printed that's worked well for me so far:Thanks for sharing, I'm ordering a X2D in the near future and having no experience was wondering what else I should get when I order it.
Thanks for that list and the links, I will look into them all. I wanted to get whatever I may need when I buy the printer. I like to just get whatever I may need, within reason, right away so I don't find something I want to print and then not be able to and have to wait for an order to come. But it was hard when I don't know anything about 3D printing, so your list really helps a lot. Here's what I've bought / printed that's worked well for me so far:
Purchased:
- Air Filters
- Wattage meter (if you care to track your usage)
- Hygrometers (put one in the AMS and put one in each filament box / bag)
- Silica Beads (put these in my printed containers for inside the AMS)
- Cereal containers for filament storage (these ones have worked well, there seem to be identical ones that are cheaper)
- AMS 2 Power Adapter (get this at same time from Bambu, or Amazon if you're ordering your printer elsewhere than Bambu)
- 0.6mm hot ends for engineering filaments
Printed:
- Basic scrapers
- Prying scraper (I like this a lot, also extends the door handle)
- Scraper handle for plastic razor blades (this works well, need to get screws which I found on Amazon)
- Desiccant boxes for AMS 2
- Cardboard spool adapters
- ********** basket
I would also recommend a few different plates, such as a cool plate or PEI smooth plate depending on what you're printing. The PEI texture works reliably but I don't love the texture.
