Smokin' Beta tool offer is for real?

Some "beta easy" sets are available on ebay.it, the references of these tools are all different from the beta ones, they claim to have three production sites in Italia near Roma, but I do not know what they make and where.

Smokin' Beta tool offer is for real?

Those "beta easy" tools surely come from the Taiwanese manufacturer of Norauto tools (same case, same bend in the ratchet handle, the T-bar made from an extension ....), you 'd better check if they have the same warranty. Vat is not included too.

French or German - 17mm Stub Hex ;-)

If you need extra strength buy the one piece made german ones, if you need modularity buy the facom one since you can change the bit to switch to another size, just be careful that the s.236 holder covers sizes from 6 to 10mm (or 1/4 to 3/8) and the s.237 covers sizes from 11 to 19 mm (or 7/16...

    Recycliong or RECYCLING ?????

You raise a good question here, The extra cost you mention is not even an extra cost since a pair of rack type import axle stands cost 25€ here (34 usd), so if you want a good price/time ratio you should buy imports, I made this for the pleasure of reusing scrapmetal. I am quite confident since...

    Tools from the old world

Ahoj , the sam pliers do not say france anywhere, the tension screw is chrome plated and so is the pushing spring I think I have seen some of their details on other pliers but I can't remember where. Mob in france means hammers and files the rest of the range is less available so I do not have...

    Workbenches Galore

Hell yes!!!!! By the way I am a little disturbed with the clean mess atmosphere but I do not do much electronics so I guess there is a reason for such an organisation, I like very much the use of recycled items.

    Tools from the old world

I just did not want to wear it the one time I used it because I may sell it later :pimpflash, what you see is just masking tape to protect the surface, as I mostly use these on agricultural machinery I would prefer some used or ugly items. Tona still exists; http://www.tona.cz/english/company/

    wrought iron railing project

You should seriously think about adding some caulking between the welded areas so that moisture won't create rust in the 'in between" zone and then distort the square profiles in the years to come. I hope my english makes sense it would be a shame that such a work could be ruined in a few years.

    Recycliong or RECYCLING ?????

Here is my contribution to save the planet; photo 1 shows an axle stand made from two mac pherson type shock absorbers (I use mac pherson ones since they have thicker walls than average shocks), the game consists in finding two tubes that slide perfectly. The pin is a rod from another shock, I...

    Tools from the old world

Here are a few locking pliers on photo 1; sam, facom 500, facom511 the sam is quite comfortable to use but the rivets look really awful on the strained side. The two valve adjustment wrenches are from gedore. photo2 shows a like new facom 3/4 set with all the metric weird sizes (35 38 42 52...)...

    tools are made of what?

My bad ; "martin" steel is a process that enabled to remove more impurities than the bessemer process, it is not a material.

    tools are made of what?

31Crv3 for a gedore socket, "MARTIN" steel for ancient forged industrial wrenches, priority was given to alloys that were easy to heat treat (small changes in hardness although the manufacturing factor would change a little) now thanks to electronic controls, computer aided designs the priority...
