    continuing on with the border, up on sawhorses, Used 2" X 1/8" flat iron. then welded the flat iron even with the top edge of bracket. using the two small clamps to hold it as i progressed around the sign.

    It's double-sided although one side has tar on it and barely make out Texaco... i'm going to make an outside border for it to strengthen it a bit it is heavy but very wavy. Second pic shows small brackets i made. Then bolting it to the edge of the sign.

    here is latest setup using nova rear shocks. had to raise them 2" to get in middle of shock action, under full load it will be fine.

    I use a small pellet stove to heat this all last winter and I only have one layer of the insulation on the ceiling and I used one and a half tons all last winter. with the current weather, I have only lit it once this year... crazy to be wearing t-shirts in Montana in November.:headscrat

    I still have wiring, interior, and windows, plumbing the air conditioning, windshield wipers,remote door actuators, bumpers, and yah... quite a bit left... You live in the right state to possibly find an REO truck as the museum is in Michigan... good luck! :rocker:
