Here is about a 25 year old diy form an even older stand I just redid. I should have taken a pic before I started. It was a useless heap of **** with two spilled oil cans adding to the goo and a bad wheel.

No, its all original. Thanks Catalyze, we got lucky with it. Not much old heavy industry here in Cent Fl. and any of the limited supply of good old stuff gets scarfed up fast around here. It's a full time job for a lot of the retirees.

I used a folded paper towel and lightly dabbed it on. I put a pic in post 17. I used a Bic pen cap as well. The little plastic end perfectly holds a drop of paint and can clean in between the lettering as well. I saw the paper towel thing online somewhere and it's all I had handy here in the...

We will see about the durability. It's in an industrial shop now so it's going to get used. It dried quickly so I hope that doesn't make it chip easily.

I will say as a life long Steelers fan I threw up in mouth a little when I painted the Cleveland lettering. I hope they know more about making vises than they know about football.:D :p
