    Romex to THHN

1" and even more so 1 1/2" flex is not very "flexible" Without seeing your set up I can't say if it will work or not. You need to make sure there is plenty of room to use the flex. For example, if you are wanting to exit the wall in a perpendicular manner, then you need a minimum of aprox 6"...

    The repurposing thread

Hey AMT, way to be creative. I've retrofitted many A/C condenser motors in my days. I've never put a speed control on one however, so good thinking. Be sure that rheostat is good for a 1/3hp motor. It looks like a low wattage wall unit. I'd hate for that thing to break out in a ball of flames...

I want some opinions on the longevity of the Li-ion mini jump packs

I decided to send Clore a email requesting mAh on the 300 and the 660. Plus I'll get an idea of how responsive they are to thier customers. I'll be sure and report back on it once I hear from them.

I want some opinions on the longevity of the Li-ion mini jump packs

That is why I am leaning toward the JNC300XLC now. It's half of the weight/size of the 660, lead acid, and made by the "industry leader" I just wish they would disclose the mAh on it. I'll likely need something in the 12,000+ mAh range. JNC660 specs Specifications: 12 Volt Peak Amps : 1700 12...

I want some opinions on the longevity of the Li-ion mini jump packs

See, that's my deal, I am not jumping 4,6, or even 8cyl vehicles. At the very largest we're talking about a 26hp air cooled v-twin. And at 25lbs for a 660, I need a lighter option. It's not uncommon for me to have to carry not only a jump box, but also a small tool bag across a pasture to a barn...

I want some opinions on the longevity of the Li-ion mini jump packs

Thanks for the feedback fella's. After reading some of the detailed specs on these mini packs, it looks like they may not fit the bill for me, since many of the times there is no battery present to work with. The Clore JNC300XLC looks like it might be the best compromise of size and the ability...

I want some opinions on the longevity of the Li-ion mini jump packs

So I noticed that the mAh rating varies on these by brand. Say a 400a peak could have 8000mAh or 12000mAh. So long as I have enough cranking amps, I think for my situation this may be an important factor since I won't just be cranking a engine one time until it starts, but rather over and over...

I want some opinions on the longevity of the Li-ion mini jump packs

I know this subject has been whooped on like a red headed orphan, but I'm looking for long term performance feedback. And before all the JNC660 guys come marching in, I get it. They are the SH!T, and I am considering buying one. However, that's not what I'm asking here. I have decided to start...

    1930's Hotpoint Gun Cabinet

First layer bedded and taped. The second layer is 100% bedded with gypsum mud just like you would a true fire wall. Once all sides are added, they too will be bedded and taped.

    1930's Hotpoint Gun Cabinet

Ok, so now that hunting season is coming to an end and Christmas is all but over, it is finally time to get back to this thing. After getting the shell prepped for the add on, I mocked up all the pieces with tack welds to the box so it would hold itself together. I then welded all the seams up...

Need some help with finding a a rebuild kit for NAPA ratchet

Thanks for the replies fellas. I'll try the local Ace. I don't know why but I never thought of them to have ball bearings. That Craftsman kit does look like the right one. I will check out the rest of the parts really good prior to buying either just a ball or a whole kit. It's always been a...

Need some help with finding a a rebuild kit for NAPA ratchet

I need some help here guys. I lost the ball bearing to my 1/4" NAPA ratchet last night while cleaning it. I'm not sure who made these style ratchets for NAPA, but I can't find this style on their site. I've also thought about just buying a minimum quantity of 100 bearings just for one lol.
