    vintage Air Tire Changer

That's a pretty obscure item. You're coming in here expecting everyone who views the pictures to know exactly what it is. Clearly you'll have alot of views, people want to see if they can help. They have to view the thread in order to see what you're talking about in the first place. If...

3.5 car home shop with racedeck

I just did my 2-car garage with racedeck. No problems yet with chemicals or welding, I've done both. Doesn't mean the tiles won't get damaged, just that I haven't seen any damage occur yet. For spills, I just wipe it up - haven't seen any discoloration yet from brake fluid, transmission...

    Detached Garage-Surveillance Questions

I have a Digimerge hard drive system for my business with 8 cameras - 4 inside, 4 outside. Using their internet program, CMS-DH, I can monitor them 24/7 on my droid (or any smart phone) or any computer. It's pretty cool. I think mine will record for a month straight before overwriting.

    Looking for a HUGE mural

What about a mural made from tiles? There's that can print whatever you want on ceramic tiles, and when you install them it creates a huge mural. My company actually does this: www.ElementTile.com.

    Coke machine

What's a typical return on a machine? How many sodas can you sell in a day?

    GM Mechanics please step inside

    1. The reason that one piston moves easily when the other one is pushed, is because you're displacing the fluid from one side of the caliper to the other. When you push both at the same time, you're pushing the fluid against the resistance of more than just one piston - the fluid has to push...

Tile installer screwed up my garage bathroom, what to do?

Post a photo, I'm curious to see how he shortened the gradient.

    in what conditions

I do most of my work after midnight, mostly midnight-5am, with the rest of work in the afternoon. I'm not a morning person, and I've adjusted my business around that. On the other hand, there's something productive about waking up very early and getting to work - but I tend to get into a rut...

Sometimes My Tool...is a Pen and Pencil!

Holy ****, that's some professional art right there. How long does it typically take to do a drawing like that?

    Failed Emissions

As said, EFI motors have a throttle body. If the car failed because of a faulty gas cap, just replace that. No need to change plugs if that's not causing the failure, unless you want to do them anyway.

    That's right, I'm a home (GARAGE) owner!!!

Awesome, we moved into our first garage (err, house) last year, it's definitely an adventure. On a side note, where did you get that dodge banner??

Interesting, not the story I've heard but plausible nonetheless.

    Interesting country of origin

I was in the t-shirt business for some time. There's one company that labels their shirts "Made in USA" - not U.S.A. Apparently there's a country somewhere in Asia named USA. Wish I could say it's a joke.

Any car flippers on the board?

That's good advice for life as a whole, too.

    Track.One's Shop Build

Reading this thread, I felt like I was reading about myself! I started my business 3 years ago at 24. The non-ending hours and no social life are universal at this stage in business I fear. There's nothing like blazing your own path through life, on your own terms. I give you much respect...

    New guy..young guy..shop owner :)

Looking forward to it. I started my business when I was 24, I'm 27 now and still going strong. It can be done, though most people will tell you it'll never work.

So I got tired of the hose reel issue...

I've got the same hose reel as your old one, and the handle broke off of mine too. Looks like I know what I'm getting to replace it :D
