No luck with the local Snapon guy, didn't get any hard handled anything. No ratchets and no screwdrivers.

Don't know if it was mentioned in the thread, tried to read the whole thing...but anyway ebay is changing the fees again to include the shipping cost. So sellers can still do this if they want, it does get you better search results, but it won't make you anymore money.

I lost count of how many times I threw my C-man thin profile ratchet across the shop after it auto reversed and then locked up on me.

I have been wondering why they don't make a split beam with a pass through style ratchet head, where you would push the square drive plug through to the other side to use it in reverse. Did anybody ever make something like that?

Wonder if the ladle is for babbitt?

Is there a decent online source for Williams tools in general? I have bought a few of the ratchets off ebay recently but would like to find a more reliable source for the ratchets and rebuild kits for them.

Don't waste your time with those things. I own one, got it for cost working at a bike shop. Horribly inaccurate out of the box. I use it sometimes anyway just because it's so short. When tightening carbon fiber it just feels safer to have a really short wrench. It also has no reverse or...

The only functional difference in his crank puller is the tip does not rotate like the ready made ones.

Not to start the bashing again...but I wouldn't recommend the thin profile ratchets if you use them everyday. I really liked them but they jammed constantly, got new ones several times from Sears and they all had the same problem after any real use. FWIW I used them 8 hours a day for a year...

Perhaps SO took the request for hard handles a little literally? Bringing back just the handles and not tools with hard handles seems kinda weird...

I made a tool like that to break into my Bronco through the vent windows! I guess I'm not the only one who figured that one out.

Does it have two things to lock down the swivel? I don't think I've seen that before. Do Wiltons have that feature?

Does the ring on top that looks like a finger spinner function as such? I had been using a C-man 1/4 ratchet with those cheap multi colored 1/4->bit driver adapters that have the spinner, but they have no detent on the 1/4 square drive and go flying if you drop the ratchet! I like the idea...
