Thanks. It's been dark when I get home pretty much every night lately, but I'll grab some pics this weekend. The yard doesn't look great with the straw down and temporary fence for my dog. We still need to put the retaining wall in as well. I started moving my tools in last night. Once I get...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

I'm having a slight issue with my lift. I bled the system according to the manual (as best as I could understand) and the lifts come up together but the primary lift stays one lock notch above the secondary. Anyone have a similar issue? Do I still have air in the system?

Every little bit helps for sure. I wish I had a few more feet as well

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

Garage is 24' deep. I biased it towards the door to leave room for a workbench on the back wall and still have room to move around the engine bay. I created general footprints of all our cars and laid it out in CAD so that I could still close the door on the largest vehicle + about a foot to...

Definitely, didn't have time last night. Ain't that the truth. Thanks! I'm very excited to start putting it to use.

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

Got the lifts up and running! It was way more entertaining to me than it probably should have been  Also got a quick video of it.

Nice development today. The garage door came in and got installed! The high lift didn't raise it as high as I would have expected, but it should be ok. Also got the lift hydraulics filled and the lifts up and running. It was probably more exciting to me than it should have been

    HemiRamOn22s Shop & House Build!!

Everything is looking great! The deck seems a little small compared to the overall scale of the property, any reason you didn't go larger? Amazon has a good selection of bulbs. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B014ENVQ42/?tag=atomicindus08-20

    RXtacy's small detached rotary haven

Thanks! I thought about a man door on the yard side but didn't want to sacrifice any additional yard space (It would have had to be recessed with a stairwell). I also didn't want to loose wall space to a door. In hind sight however I think adding a door on the fence side would have been nice...

    RXtacy's small detached rotary haven

It's been a while, but I have a minor update. The siding and gutters were finished a while ago. I've been using the shop to fabricate my driveway gate (more on that in the future) and it's been a great work space! Unfortunately my garage door assembly still hasn't arrived so I have been moving...

It's close to that. Each platform is ~800 lbs then you have the control cabinet and skid etc.

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

Yea I think it was in this thread. Whatever you have on hand that can support the ~800 lbs should work. Ah yea that would make it a lot easier. Thanks. I'm trying to keep it clean until I get the rust bullet down to reduce prep. It has been a constant internal battle  FWIW I've pulled...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

I'm curious how that ended up working? Are the legs of your engine hoist wide enough for the lift to fit through? I tried that with the first one and did not have stellar results

Thanks. It's not very apparent but we did actually do some grading. There's only so much we could really do due to the elevation of the patio.

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

Thanks man! I'm really excited to get it up and running. I'm somewhat annoyed that they sent me longer hydraulic lines, but didn't match the push lock air line length. Typically yes the extensions would face the rear. I have multiple reasons as to why I didn't do that. Firstly I really don't...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

Well I've had the lifts for over three months now (didn't have the garage for them to go in) but now they're finally in! Gotta give props to superskater I used his method with two jacks and it worked beautifully. Lots of great info in here that I learned from also so big thanks to all the...
