I bought a couple of windows last week. Haven’t picked them up yet, but they seem to be ok. Some TLC and new glass, and they will fit the barn perfectly. They’ve been installed in a similar barn from the 1920’s.

Recieved some 14 pallets of stone and mortar today. Soon it will rise from the ground in hopefully straight and ordered manner.

It’s so satisfying to remove the formwork. Can’t wait to get on with the walls.

Milestone reached today. All went smoothly and as planned. 16 tons of concrete is now firmly in place and not going anywhere for the next 100 years.

New milestone to be reached this weekend. Insulation, vapor barrier and rebar is finished. On friday the concrete will be poured. If all goes well, I can remove the formwork after a couple of days, then 3-4 weeks pause before the next step.

April is here, still cold nights but comfortable day temperatures. Days are longer, and snow is almost gone (careful not to say that too loud). This weekend finally saw some progress.
