They cool the air by increasing the humidity. If you live in a humid area they won't work as well. If you live in a less humid area they are amazing!

Thank you Fredfox32, "Flag bolt" is turning up something similar to what I want, just not a lot of it. I attached pic's of a similar bolt (cross member that supports transfer case) so that others could see what I was trying to draw. Stage 8 is close to what I want, and could be made to work...

Looking for the name of this style bolt. It's used on the exhaust manifold to exhaust pipe connecting flange. I've tried googling but I'm coming up with limited selection.

@ PWC Repair I used "3 in one" non detergent oil, it's what I had at the time. I didn't see a stk#. I'd have to pull it out again to measure the shaft. If you would be able to get me a scrap end cap, maybe we could work something out. @ toplessHO the end plates where cast aluminum. @ sms1974...
