I passed on the compressor. Too worried about parts availability on an obsolete compressor....that and having to drive that far to look at it, and if something is not right with it, I'm out a whole lot of gas and time. I have a better plan I hope....I found a 705 Saylor Beall pump that had been...
I don't know why it's listed in Texas??? The compressor is actually in New Mexico. I clicked on the link from the OP and it it's dead. The drive to New Mexico is an easy one down I-25.
LOL...Do you have a better deal on a compressor? Amarillo is a bit of a detour for me, and I have no fond memories of Amarillo. That's a long story lol
I haven't been able to get a hold of him today. I never asked about the three phase motor, or what was wrong with it as I am going to replace it anyhow.
I already have a 5hp single phase motor for the compressor. I wont be building a VFD because the 3 phase, 7 1/2hp motor that's on the compressor is shot, thus the low price on the compressor. My motor that I already have in use on my compressor is a 5hp 1740 rpm motor.
Wayne makes a good compressor, or should I say "they used to?" I heard that a lot of the parts on the pump can be crossed with Kellogg pumps ie: valves and such? I guess my question is, is it worth two hundred bucks and a drive? lol
I just talked to the guy on this compressor. I need some input from the compressor guru's...I have a a single phase, five horse motor for the compressor. The compressor had a 7 1/2 horse three phase motor on it. Would my five horse motor run this sufficiently? I know I will lose some cfm to...
You should be able to pick up an electric motor sheave at almost any electrical supply house. The oilfield supply house here carries sheaves for all of the different electrical motors that are used in the oilfield.
Hope this helps you!

I will pass on what was told to me by a professional insulator. You DO not want to put cellulose in the walls...or your attic for that matter, where it is touching you steel exterior or interior walls. The chemicals that make it flame retardant and bug proof will corrode your steel panels.
I...
I was watching quite a few of them in Salt Lake City...they all went for stupid high money!
Yojinbo....I lived in Norman for several years...loved the fishing, hated the humidity. I much prefer the summers here in Wyoming!
Does Worthington make their compressor pumps, or are they built by someone else. I was looking at an older Worthington and the pump looks an awful lot like a Quincy pump. I'm not an expert on either of the two companies, thus the question.

Yojinbo,
WTF?? Are the out of state tool dealers paying for shipping on these heavy cabinets?? I can't imagine they can make much money off of them after paying the shipping?? I wondered who in the hell was bidding up those cabinets, now I know!
