    Advantage lifts

I don't think the jacking tray supports 7000#, because it says the same thing under the drip trays. I think that 7000# number refers to the actual lift, not the tray. I intend to price the BYbuddy tomorrow. Someone said around $5k. That's A LOT more than the others. Let's see how they...

    Advantage lifts

I think our posts crossed, Scott. Check out the updated video I posted about Advantage, above, that shows they also have a secondary backup lock, same as Wildfire. Also, I just noticed that Advantage upgraded from a small orifice to an actual anti-backflow type valve to stop fluid from coming...

    Advantage lifts

If you go Wildfire, please report back here with findings. I'm curious as to whether they actually manufacture or just resell the same lift as Advantage. (I'm going to ask Advantage the same question tomorrow). Also, note that both WoldFire and Advantage have what appears to be a completely...

    Advantage lifts

I agree about all of those things. On that post, I was just wondering what the differences were between all 3 Atlas lifts. I agree, the boxed design seems better. For that, I see basically two companies: Adantage and Backyard Buddy. I don't know pricing on BYbuddy yet, but I've inferred that...

    Advantage lifts

Greg Smith shows 3 different lists that are all very similar. Any idea about differences between them, aside from an inch here or there? http://www.gregsmithequipment.com/Atlas-Garage-Pro-8-000 http://www.gregsmithequipment.com/Atlas-408SL-8-000-LB-Four-Post-Lift_2...

    Advantage lifts

Wildfire lifts looks to be THE SAME as Advantage. Not similar, but THE SAME. What's the story there? Is there a company that's actually making these for both Wildfire and Advantage? And are they made over seas? Parts from China? I'm not sure it matters that much as long as the design and...

    Advantage lifts

Interesting thread. I'm in the market. I REALLY like the design of a square post vs C channel. Seem that only two brands sell square post: Advantage and Backyard Buddy. I have not seen a price yet from BB, but Advantage to me looks beefier. I like a lot of the info they post on their videos...

The all inclusive PhotoBucket issues, problems and solutions

Re: Attention GJers-Check your Photobucket accounts I noticed that and have been debating paying the $99. I hate what they did. Had they made it $99 initially, I likely would not have been that upset. Note about your credit card expiration: that charge may go through anyway. I've had them go...

Need help wiring thermostat to my ProFusion electric heater.

Bringing back an old thread. Do you have these pics somewhere that I can view them? I just bought this heater: ProFusion Heat Ceiling-Mount Shop Heater — 25,590 BTU, 240 Volts, Model# HA24-75M, and I would really like to use a plug or switch so I can make sure it's completely and truly off...

    Humidity: What's the maximum amount?

Yea, I thought about those, but I want the entire garage and contents to be at a reasonable level and protected from the wrath of humidity. I plan on running the dehumidifier over the summer. In the winter so far it's between 45-55% and spiked as high as 66% during rain. All acceptable.

Long Island, NY, I think it's 20 cents per.

Garage Floor/Walls/Ceiling paint for a RENTAL

just circling back... landlord agreed to run 40amp 220 for an electric heater for me. Wahoo!

    Kerosene vs Propane

Good news! I'm getting a 240v line run, so I can go electric heat! wahoo! I'll likely be able to go up to 40amp, so I guess 750 watts/ 25,000 BTU. Hopefully that will help. I posted this up on a different, electric heat thread.

Thinking out a heater for small garage, wiring

ok, thanks. I'm going to try and get the 8ga wire run and hope that the 7500 unit does the trick, at least enough to take the edge off in the winter. I may run a fan or two in there to help circulate the warm air. Are these the best units for the money? Are some better at heating a room than...

Thinking out a heater for small garage, wiring

Subscribed. I've got a 600 sf detached garage that's 50% below grade and has another garage above, so my ceiling is concrete too. 2 car garage doors. 8' ceiling. Uninsulated. Will a 5,000 watt 17,000 BTU unit be enough...

    Kerosene vs Propane

Reading an old thread and, well, getting discouraged. I don't want moisture, but I don't have a way to get more than 110v. Free standing 2 story garage (I only have bottom floor) is all concrete walls and ceiling except for 2 car garage doors. it's 600 sf. Partially below grade. It's my...

Garage Floor/Walls/Ceiling paint for a RENTAL

ok, I'll play... Since I only plan to be in the garage a few times a month and never more than 1-3 hours or so at a time, maybe a salamander of some sort would be ok. I was very concerned about adding moisture to an already humid garage, but so far it seems to be better in the cold, averaging...

Garage Floor/Walls/Ceiling paint for a RENTAL

Yes, I know how to do it, the problem is that it's a rental and this would require a new home run from sub panel to garage and it's all concrete. I just had the landlord run additional power for outlets. I asked for two circuits but only got one. Oh well, I'll see how this goes. If it's a good...
