    Knipex Twin Grip

The screw removal cutout is keeping me from purchasing these, I have a few pliers that have those already. I'm surprised it's taken them so long to come out with variations to this design. Ideally I'd like something a little shorter with a full cross-hatched gripping section, or a...

    Tools of Japan

Just placed my first amazon.co.jp order, posting info here in case it helps anyone. ~250usd and expedited shipping added $50 (regular shipping was $45). Should fit in a medium sized box guessing about 10lb or less. All coming from Amazon they estimate 10 days delivery to east coast USA. Edit...

I don't like to use the spinner wheel lock. Since I don't use it as much I'm less comfortable deploying it, takes a little longer to slide to the spot and tighten down to make sure it doesn't collapse on you. I'm sure you'd get used to it but going back and forth it takes a step longer for...

    Knipex Handles Musings

Comfort grips on small pliers/cutters that sometimes need a lot of force. Dipped for larger tools when I'd be wearing gloves anyway.

I think he just got a bad one, I haven't seen that issue in other videos and don't think they changed anything except the color.

Fabric shears are like regular shears with harder carbon edges to cut better. If you use fabric shears to cut things other than fabric they work excellent, just be careful not to abuse the edge and chip them. The trick is if you really want shears for fabric don't ever cut anything else and...

You'll be happy when you get a normal one! I wanted to add a few from the 7000 series this black friday but no deals so far. That series has models from 4" - 12", some more for fabric but others are serrated or general use IMO. Just don't loan them to your wife or kids!

I have the 7150 which are just slightly smaller. No play, and they are extremely precise and sharp. And have held up really well. I would definitely return that one if it's not perfect.

    Howdy from DRPD!

While you're updating us, how's the shop build going? I saw the DRPD bit sets you mentioned a few posts back are available now, that's exciting I'm gonna pick one up with my next order! Do you anticipate any new products being added to the store before Thanksgiving? Going to start getting a...

    Haus of Tools experience

I ordered from them early on, didn't see the extended shipping warning but maybe it wasn't implemented yet. About half my order shipped pretty quick and arrived in their packaging. I wasn't getting any updates about the items that didn't ship so after a few weeks I reached out and they gave me...

Has anyone noticed a drastic decline in Wiha quality?

The quality seems to be all over the place. I have a German made centrofix bit holder which is probably the best available. The mini ratchet (Taiwan) and bit set in the metal case is a great package. But the compound cutting pliers from Vietnam are pretty bad in fit, finish, and performance. And...

I heard some info about the NEXT shape. Apparently they ran the basic handle shape thru some engineering software which came up with this shape as one of the strongest/lightest. It also doesn't have the classic Nepros chrome. I'm not familiar with the NEXT branding and how that compares to the...

    Anyone Make a Mini Blower?

The Makita blower has some accessories that I haven't seen with the others. The inflator nozzle for blowing up stuff, and the flexible tube with precision tip are very handy. It also has a couple sized nozzles and one that blows like a fan to clear off a table. It has a replaceable filter...
