Going through totes still and came across this lot of interesting tools from a mechanics estate. I know what a few are used for, but most I have not a clue.
Ok, I have been digging through my auction totes this weekend and came across some Snap On sockets. These appear to be 9/32 drive. The question I have is on the manufacture of these. This particular socket looks to have been "modified" by someone to make it thinner walled. It is stamped m-12...

To be exact, we need to repaint the bathroom floor at work. It is concrete and has been painted before. It is subjected to heavy foot traffic, cleaning chemicals, and of course pee. The guy that painted it before is no longer with us and we don't know what he used. It is gray and had a very...
My Mac guy finally stops by work today. I have not seen him since November ( I even owed him a little money). My safety glasses at work need replaced and I keep forgetting to put a new pair in the van to take there. The Feb flyer has a decent looking pair for $12, so I figured I'd just get...
In the February flyer for $179.99. http://catalogs.shoplocal.com/mactools/index.aspx?pagename=shopmain&fsid=e1346c47-9932-46ef-aa46-f75c4be1774a&pagenumber=1&circularid=16067&batchid=1180592
I use mine almost daily and I would be lost with out it now. I have never been a big fan of auto wire...
OK, I bought a set of metric SK nutdrivers off Ebay about a year ago. I open the package and these things smell like someone puked in there. I removed them from the cheap plastic tool roll thinking it was that. NOPE
I almost think they are an actually fakes. I have sprayed them with brake...
Wondering if anyone here has ever installed laminate on homemade countertop? I priced out 2 countertops. One was 30" X 96" ($150.11) The second was 30" X 132" ($284.46) It is going into my garage and I just can't justify that money for a couple of countertops.
I bought the laminate sheet and...
I am going to try my hand at a review on them. One thing I have learned from this forum is, we all like lots of pictures.
I previously posted on these and I picked some up today.
The price at Menards was $14.99 for a 3 pack. This seemed to be the everyday price.
First impression when I...
Just came across these at Menards today. 3 bins for $15, comes with the mounting track also. They seem well made and look pretty cool. I was wondering if anyone has been using these.

Cruising the web today looking for a manual for an old Craftsman planer and found this site. Maybe this has been shared before, if so it deserves a repeat.

I had a 1/2" cordless drill burn up on me recently. I probably had less than an hour of actual run time on it. I called the 800 number, they gave me the nearest service center address.
I mailed it out Tuesday and I have just opened a package from Dewalt with my drill all fixed. WOW, that was...
Wondering if anyone has figured out a way to make a shop vac more user friendly. I am so tired of the machine getting tangled in the cord or hose and tired of the thing tipping over. Any suggestions?
I inherited this Kennedy box from my sister. She purchased it in the '80s for her art supplies. Dimensions are approx 18x29x14 deep. Model number 186-226015. Anyone know anything about these? Links to info? Any help would be appreciated.
Here is a select handfull out of my latest auction score. Lectrolite corp, Barcalo, Billings, Eclipse, Metco, Vlchek, and Pazzano are what can be made out. Probably 15-20 more wrenches came with it but, nothing really special about those.
Scored a box of wrenches at an auction today. Mostly USA stuff and at the bottom was this wrench. A quick look up says 1958. I don't know much about Snap On stuff, but I believe it's a good score.
A guy that works for me gave me a big box full of old tools. I am in the process of going through it and came across these.
I did a quick search for Keystone Mfg and did not get much.( it's 1/2 drive) The other wrench is pretty crude in design(maybe farm tractor tool?) it is 1/4 and 1/2...
