    Pre-built "Amish" Sheds

Kind of what I figured on the vinyl. Unfortunately if the HOA says I gotta do it I don't have much of a choice. Beaded siding is really pretty common around here as are neighborhoods with HOA's so you would think this wouldn't be that big of a deal but who knows.

    Pre-built "Amish" Sheds

I'm in the market for a back yard shed. As much as I would love to try and build one myself I have absolutely no time to do it so I am going the pre-built route. I've visited about 5 different shed lots now in my area (Richmond, VA) and they are all built either in Lancaster PA or out around...

    New blue toy...

You STOLE it for $550! I had been searching for a used 211 forever and stumbled upon a 141 that is literally brand new in the box for $400. I thought I had a smokin' deal. Not sure if I'm gonna keep it or what at this point.

Sagging floor joist & crawl space jacks

Yeah the more I think about it the more I am realizing I have to dig down and establish a firm base otherwise like you said I will be back down there all the time jacking it back up a little as it pushes down into the earth. Thanks for the links.

Sagging floor joist & crawl space jacks

I realize this is getting a little off topic from Garage stuff but I have learned far more about building construction topics on this forum than anywhere else. A true wealth of knowledge! Anyway, here's the problem. My house is built on a pier and beam foundation over a dirt floor crawl space...

    Extreme Tools Toolbox

I'm guessing from the price you got it from Rockin' Tool Boxes. I bought one as well, mine is a prototype 56" EX5622 i think. Different layout than the ones now, taller with a bigger top hatch. I paid $900 for what new would have been $1999. Mine has the "grip latches" like the Masterforce...

Which brand to start a cordless tool set?

I made the investment into the Makita 18 LXP series. I now have a hammer drill/driver (brushless), impact driver (brushless), recip saw, 7¼" circular saw (takes a pair of 18v batteries really nice saw), and a hedge trimmer. In my personal experience Makita and Milwaukee seemed to be the best...

HF 56" vs. Tool Vault 56 combo

Update: I finally received the Extreme Tools EX5610/EX5611 combo that I ordered from Rockin' Tool Boxes on Facebook after I was turned on to them by someone on this thread. My box is basically the same as the EX56 combos that sell for about $2000 shipped from Strictly Toolboxes, but with a...

56" Husky Tool Box Amateur Review

Very nice box. I checked this and its little brother the 52" model out in detail about a week ago. The drawer layout didn't work for me otherwise I would have bought it. It's a lot of tool box for the money.

HF 56" vs. Tool Vault 56 combo

I almost bought this box last week after seeing this. Got an initial shipping quote for $150~ or so and I was going to do it. Then I found out that was shipped to a business. Residential + lift gate added about $90. This morning I was scanning his page again and noticed he dropped this box...

HF 56" vs. Tool Vault 56 combo

I was getting ready to pull the trigger on this one, but once you add it to your shopping cart and get ready to check out it shows truck freight of $244.44. Still a pretty good deal but not the fantastic one it was with $26 shipping. I had a feeling it was a little too good to be true. The...

HF 56" vs. Tool Vault 56 combo

I checked out I think a 52 and 60 from Husky with the flat black paint and "murdered out" trim. Really nice boxes for the money but the killer for me was the top shelf in the cabinet was only like 3 7/8" deep. I store all of my sockets upright and really want about 5" depth for that drawer.

HF 56" vs. Tool Vault 56 combo

I've often wondered about the floor models vs. fresh stock. Still a tough choice though. HF is a great deal for the 44+ side cabinets, the Masterforce has the best latching mechanism far as I can tell, and the ToolVault has very few detractors other than price. (and I'm still mesmerized by...

HF 56" vs. Tool Vault 56 combo

The 56 looked and felt cheaper to me. The latches felt like they were about to break and the drawers didn't feel as solid as those on the 44. Even the paint finish didn't seem as nice on the 56. It appeared to me they are sourced from different suppliers. I don't mean to put down the 56...

HF 56" vs. Tool Vault 56 combo

I think the "deal" at HF for a tool box is definitely the 44. It's a great value but I don't think big enough for me. Once you get into the $1000+ range for the 56 it just doesn't seem like such a bargain anymore. Currently I probably barely have enough tools to fill the 44 but I'm thinking...

HF 56" vs. Tool Vault 56 combo

How do the Tool Vault drawers latch? I'm really liking the looks of the MasterForce latching system right now, and the latches on the Harbor Freight box were probably the biggest turn off to that one. Shipping aside the Master Force is less money than the Harbor Freight right now and in that...
