Foundation passed inspection today. Back fill next. Then the contractor wants to get the floor poured. (I figured out how to add the pics in the thread posts as opposed to thumbnails.. much better IMO. )

Actually when I took these pics the mason hadn't yet framed in the garage door. I am actually not centering the door, but will be favoring the left side. It will start about 40 inches from the left corner. Door size is 7 high x 12 wide, and the width of the front of the garage is 22 feet...

Great pics and nice car! I don't see how you'd be hurting the house any by extending that garage back another 4-6 feet, if your set back permits (try for a variance if it doesn't). You'd only be invading current driveway space. Although, looking at your pics again, you might not have enough...

Do you have a pic of the wall to post? I'm considering doing the same thing on one of my walls. Was thinking of trying to find old barn wood for a rustic look, but that could get expensive.

The trenches got drained and the foundation blocks were delivered this morning (7:20 am sharp!). The foundation subcontractor distributed them around the perimeter by hand. In the background you can see the orange fence I put up the night before to give the dogs room to run without getting all...
