    tire plug repair tool.

The MonkeyGrip kit is great. It's inexpensive and readily available just about everywhere. I know the other kits mentioned are better quality and perhaps easier to use but sometimes the tool you can get on short notice is the best tool for the job. Fortunately, I've only had to use mine 3...

    stanley impact wrench SHOCKER!!!!!!

I saw a guy from IR mention that the patents for the 231 ran out not too long ago and now there are tons of clones out there. The various Harbor Freight twin hammer impacts are of the same ilk. I'm guessing the Stanley would be comparable to this one. For $25-$35, it's probably worth having...

Why a floor jack vs bottle jack?

Bottle jacks are nice to have around in a pinch but unless you have a truck, SUV or minivan they probably won't fit under your frame.

    compressor advice

If it runs well, I'd snag it. I bought a 27 gal oil-free compressor from Costco years ago for $169 and it was worth every penny. Sure I'd love to have a larger, quieter, more reliable compressor but it definitely beats not having a compressor at all. Unless you have the resources to get the...

How about this Knife ? Kershaw..

I love my Kershaw Ken Onion Chive. I also have a Vapor II (one of the made in china Kershaws) and it's a fine knife for around $20. CRKT also makes some great knives. My M4 is awesome, although a bit large for EDC. My M16 is a tanto-combo blade (didn't think that one through) so I don't use...

    Aircat vs Earthquake 1/4 ratchet

You're probably fine with the Earthquake but I don't have any first hand experience with them. At least you know there's no way they can be as bad as the Campbell Hausfeld stuff. If you have the extra scratch, I'd get the Aircat just for the quieter operation.

    Aircat vs Earthquake 1/4 ratchet

That's a bummer. It seems like every HF is unique. I was able to use a scanned print from a magazine the other day but they had to do it as a separate transaction since I had some coupons for other stuff as well. The guy tried to convince me to save it since it didn't expire for a while and...

Where are you finding the 1/4" Earthquake ratchet on sale for $45?

    Aircat vs Earthquake 1/4 ratchet

They don't work with other coupons but if it's a sale price, you're good to go. In fact, the small print specifically mentions that it's good on sale prices. Here's a 20% off coupon that's good until 15-Feb-2010.

Craftsman vs. Harbor Freight Plastic Socket Rail

I have about a dozen of these and they have held up OK so far. One broken 1/4" clip but I would imagine that would have broken on the Craftsman version as well.

    Best CHEAP flashlight, <$20

Agreed and Streamlight is a great company with tremendous customer service. I've also found that this flashlight washes up nice with some Fast Orange.
