Unusual Vise - help me identify

I have only found 1 other one similar. It's a person selling on Ebay, and they know as much about it as I do.

Unusual Vise - help me identify

Just picked up this unusual vise. There are no markings or signifiers anywhere. I'm wondering if anyone has any more info on this. Fully extended it's about 24 inches long. Really solid vise.

    Snap On KRL661 Alternative Slides

Hey guys, just got a good deal on a used Snap On KRL661 roll cab. I needed the upgrade in storage space, however the slides on the wide bottom drawer are shot. Called SO customer service and told them I purchased it second hand. They said the slides are not under warranty and my cost would be...

    2020 Garage Sale Thread

First time poster on the garage sale thread. I need to do it more often because I have found a number of things recently worthy of a post here. Take for example my find from earlier this week. I saw an estate sale ad that allowed a presale so I made an appointment and stopped by. Judging by the...

I started changing my own oil...

This truck is so great. I found it at an estate sale. I showed up not planning to buy a vehicle at all, though my wife and I had been discussing getting a replacement for my 2003 Honda CR-V, which was on its last legs. It's a 2000 F-150 Lariat with 5.4 v8 Triton engine. Only 60k miles with I...

I started changing my own oil...

Yes, of course! Thankfully I can get under my truck without lifting it. My wife's Camry, however, will have to go up on jacks. He won't be allowed under there for that.

I started changing my own oil...

I’ll keep this in mind. I went ahead and switched the filters. Just hand tightened. Thanks for the advice, all. 40 years old and just now learning to change my own oil. Best part is having my son under the truck with me! He’ll learn a lot earlier.

I started changing my own oil...

Seems like if I don't drain the oil it's going to pour out. If I drain it first into a clean oil pan is it safe to pour back in the engine?

I started changing my own oil...

I decided to start changing the oil on the family cars (2010 Toyota Camry, 2000 F150 V8 Triton 5.4). After all, I can save time and money by using Costco's new synthetic oil (comes out to about $25 per oil change). I started with the F150 and when I went to replace the filter, I noticed the new...

    Snap On KR-1000A Restoration/Transformation

Just picked up a KR1000a for $350. It's well used, but I just spent a few hours cleaning it with some Simple Green and greasing the slides. Now the drawers all open smoothly. Will wax it later this week and I'll need to get some drawer liners in. My question for you is what drawer liner...

Did I get a counterfeit or fake Snap On tool box?

Update: I went and picked up a Snap-On KRA 59C and a KRA 380. Night and day difference between the one I originally posted about. Just ordered new slides for both (bottom drawer slides are no longer available) and I'll have them filled with tools in no time. Will post a pic when I get back home.

Did I get a counterfeit or fake Snap On tool box?

You're right that it's totally on me. I'm willing to accept that when I operate this way, I'm going to strike out sometimes. But over all I've come out waaaay ahead. In the last 2 weeks I've flipped: 2 $15 Craftsman tool chests for $60 each a $10 no name tool cabinet for $80 a $50 craftsman...

Did I get a counterfeit or fake Snap On tool box?

I tried to make it work, but when I got it home and put my bench top on it (two short 12x2s), the box leaned so hard the bottom draw was stuck shut. Didn't even get a single tool into it. I would hate to see what it would do under the weight of my tools. Took it back today and learned a good...

Did I get a counterfeit or fake Snap On tool box?

Update: The seller is going to let me return it for a refund. However, he still insists it's a Snap-On. I'm still pretty new in my tool collection but won't get fooled again.

Did I get a counterfeit or fake Snap On tool box?

That is the question. I don't care about the brand. The brand is only important to me because I know that SO makes quality products I can potentially pass down to my kids. I'm just looking for quality. When I set it up under the bench and saw how warped it was under the weight of two 2x12s (and...

Did I get a counterfeit or fake Snap On tool box?

For context, in my search for the perfect toolbox for my garage, I have come across some smoking deals on boxes, carts, and cabinets that haven't been exactly what I'm looking for. I'll try them out, and when I realize they're not what I'm looking for, I'll sell them (for a reasonable price) and...

I got it for $100, by the way.
