Maybe we are both missing something because although I've never done it, reading about how to do it it doesn't sound that difficult. Would have to rent a ton of eqiupment. To those of you who have said it's not a DIY, can you tell us why not?

Probably more good than bad. Each time you are out in the garage you can try something new or learn something new. In most cases that isn't true with the alternative...
