    Mitsubishi mini-split installation observations

You're being overly critical about it yet aware and agreeing to the reasons for the shortcomings. Your critique pointed out problems yet you admitted to the reasons why they were evident. Overall, you're overthinking everything, right down to the length of the lineset. I put a 18k Mitsubishi...

Plywood type for garage walls? And insulation?

You forgot to mention it's 3 times the cost ($10 a sheet vs $30 a sheet). Only need 6 to do the job? You spend $120 more. Dents easily, yes. What are you doing that dents are a problem? Can't hang anything? Bull. To each his own.

Plywood type for garage walls? And insulation?

I own apartment buildings and do most of the work needed on my own -renovations, electrical, plumbing, etc. It's extremely important to know building codes. Not just for personal claims, but for liability as well. One simple shortcut or mistake you didn't know about can cost you everything -...

just bought my first "real" compressor - is it too big?

OP - research the compressor pump and figure out what size single phase motor it'll take to spin it (amp draw is key, get it wrong and you'll burn up a motor), and what else is needed to make it run. Then make up your mind. I'm going through this exact process. If you're mechanically inclined...

    My Snap On story

Wow, tough crowd. Whatfield - abandon the user name, it's burnt to a crisp. In hindsight, shouldn't have expected anything less. Men will be men. Nuff said on this post.

    Rebuilding an Atlas Copco Compressor

Finally had time to give the Atlas a whirl. Bolted the Baldor 7.5 hp motor to the Atlas and used the Mac compressor the Baldor motor was to go on for a tank. The Mac has a nonadjustable Square D 175 psi pressure switch. Although plate on Atlas states 125 psi max, I used it (all I had). First...

Air compressor cooling with hydronic baseboard elements

I'd like to extend an invitation to ducksface to come over to my house for a few beers to be sure there are no hard feelings. On with the matter at hand - I cut a piece of pipe off the baseboard with a tubing cutter and then cut that piece again with an air cutter equipped with a diamond...

Air compressor cooling with hydronic baseboard elements

I sincerely apologize ducksface. I absolutely misunderstood what you were saying, felt your post was distasteful and useless. Thank you for taking the time to explain. After reading your second post and then rereading the first one with that explanation in mind I now get what you meant. Your...

Air compressor cooling with hydronic baseboard elements

I read posts from others that have used both M and L. PSI ratings on both are well above the PSI of the compressor. 66cj - what do you mean by "which side of the flex hose"? I was thinking of connecting it as: Compressor pump → tank → flex hose → baseboard → filters → main trunk I...

Air compressor cooling with hydronic baseboard elements

I have no idea what this is supposed to mean, nor do I care. One of the main purposes of this forum is for people to ask questions and opinions about something they want to know more about. The responses to the question may or may not raise more questions, discussion and (mature) opinions...

Air compressor cooling with hydronic baseboard elements

Type D? The Copper Tube Handbook lists 4 types - K, L, M and DWV. I don't think you mean DWV (Drain/Waste/Vent) as it's made for unpressurized applications and the smallest diameter it's made in (from what I've found) is 1 1/4". Can you point me where I can find info on type D copper?
