What did you do "IN" your garage today?

New battery for the wife's 4runner. It's been slow to start sometimes if you sit around with the radio on or doors open... finally wouldn't start this morning. Glad I drove the WRX to work... she was able to take the truck instead. One of these days I need to teach her to drive a manual...

    Milton 761 1/4" FNPT HIGHFLOWPRO V-Style connectors - (10) for $1.48 (Amazon)

They arrived last night. Opened 'em up this morning, they are correct this time. Thanks y'all for posting this. Got both male and female V plugs out of this deal... should be good to go for quite a long time now.

    Milton 761 1/4" FNPT HIGHFLOWPRO V-Style connectors - (10) for $1.48 (Amazon)

I'll have to check my itty bitty Kubota's wheels to see if I can actually use 'em. :-p When I reached out to Amazon, they refunded me for them and told me to keep 'em.

    Milton 761 1/4" FNPT HIGHFLOWPRO V-Style connectors - (10) for $1.48 (Amazon)

I finally saw a deal on the 1/4" male NPT threaded V plugs 10-pack so I pounced. Amazon instead sent me a 10-pack of this: https://www.miltonindustries.com/tire-hardware/tr-ch3-valve-core-housing-2514 Obviously a valve stem, but what sort of wheel does it fit? Trying again to get the 1/4...

    Shop Window Height

About 4 to 4 1/2 feet to the bottom of the window. Bench right under it is at 40-42", I like being able to look outside while working on things.

Look for a "first" miter saw recommendation

I've had that one (or maybe an older version of it) for 10+ years. No complaints... then again, I'm not building furniture or fine woodwork, and I mostly cut 1x4 or smaller. Occasional 2x materials. Picked up a secondhand Ryobi miter saw stand at an estate sale, best thing I've done for it...

Above 1200 Sq/FT C Dub's Garage Build in Central NC

Just came across this one. Great looking shop! Lots of parallels to my own Morton build (albeit smaller), following along now for ideas I can use. Also, I love the Corvette.

    Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT Jawn's 30x40 Morton in the 'burbs.

Getting caught up with some pictures. Finished the electrical work back in November as I'd mentioned, so let there be light! Lot of clutter too. Oh well. Close up of the box: Outside, meter base / main breaker: After returning from a holiday trip to Disney, I did some upgrades to my WRX...

The Wait: a 30X40 Residential Detached Build

I'd be inclined to run the whole shebang in conduit. I did that in my 30x40 pole building, actually did all the electrical myself (new 200A service). I am envious of your insulation... wish I'd gone that route. And your porch. As soon as I step outside, I'm in the rain. Here's my 30x40 (also in...

Anyone used Northern Tool metal shelving? Ironton brand, $250?

I picked up one of the Northern Tool ones a year or two ago for use in my garage/basement for household stuff. No complaints.

What's Your Shop Air Compressor & Why

Browsing TSC in 2013 I saw they had an Ingersoll Rand SS3L3 (60gal, 3hp) on clearance for $400 so I bought it. Not a bad little compressor.

Anybody still using a stereo rack system in the shop or home?

I just recently tossed the electronic component of the Sony system I bought from Circuit City in 1994. Lightning ran in on it and fried it. I kept the cabinet and speakers... I'll hang the speakers up on the wall and drive them with an amp connected to a PC, both of which will live in the...

The GDS Skunkworks, 4 FN 27's Shop Projects

Everything in moderation. I love a beer or two on the weekend. Some lack the self control, so kudos to you for being conscious of that.

Anyone else doing a datacenter in the garage?

Mikrotik's RouterOS is very flexible on what it can do, but aside from the preconfigured "QuickSet" modes it'll take a bit of RTFM to figure out how to make it do what you want. At least it seemed that way to me. After configuring a few, I'm starting to find my way around it a bit better. Also...
