Briggs' Double kart and Locost build

I was able to get the rest of the lights hung minus the one as I ran out on the harness to wire up. Made a vertical stand for the kart and the kart stand so they won't take up so much room. Was easy to build and works great. Wooden cabinet I plan on building. It will be 6' wide 30"...

Briggs' Double kart and Locost build

Managed to get 2 of the 5 lights hung. These little guys are so bright. Can't wait to get the other side of the garage finished. I bought a chain light switch that is used in ceiling fans and I use it to turn on the lights. I keep it plugged in this way I don't have to use a ladder to turn...

Briggs' Double kart and Locost build

Spent the other night cleaning the garage floor. I should have took a before pic. It looks a lot better now. The epoxy has peeled up in some areas. I would love to fix it but it's still a rental after all. Hung up some more pics of well, gotta have my pin ups and my cosplay girls to look at...

Briggs' Double kart and Locost build

After a day of researching home stereos for the garage I finally settled on this one. In my budget, had enough good reviews, and I don't have to buy longer cords to run 2 speakers to the other side of the garage. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009DKAI4Q/?tag=atomicindus08-20

I'm not sure where the pic was taken at. I wanna say I found the pic on Amazon. Oh yea I've been to a couple zmax auto-x events. I used to be really into auto-x a couple years ago. I plan on getting my kart running so I can go to some more next year.

Getting some new wall art for the garage. Got the banner and the VIR poster from Travisnd. Thanks again for the goodies. Took me a while to hang that one. It's pretty huge and its tight over there right now. Don't mind the messy work bench. I'm still trying to get things squared away in...

Houses should come with bigger garages

I just moved into a house with a 22'x22' garage with a 14'x4' section at the front. Its a lot nicer then my old 1 car garage but to me its still not big enough. Its just a rental so I'm not complaining too much.

Would it have been cheaper to go with a metal building?

New to the site and a new garage going up to share

Wow. Amazing race team setup and loving the garage. Are the garage doors going to be glass like the old gas station shops? I always loved those types of doors. Looking forward to this one.

    Single car garage revamp

Fantastic looking garage you have. Just skimmed threw and read where I seen pictures. Way to transform a dull space into something unique to you. The attention to detail is spot on. Props to you, keep up the great work. The mini bike looks great!

Also, correct me if I'm wrong but pneumatic fittings are all NPT correct? So I'll need a couple NPT to pipe thread adapters? Also, all pipe will be 1/2".

Briggs' Double kart and Locost build

Need some help regarding hard lines for my air compressor running to my media blast cabinet. If it's hard to see what I plan on doing is using black iron pipe from Lowes/Home Depot. It's cheaper then I thought, well for the pipe. If the fittings are expensive in the store I'll order them...

Stick welding to rebuild a hole in a cast aluminum head

Machine shop would be your best bet. Filling a small hole like that even with a TIG welder you risk warping the head as you will need a lot of heat to fill a hole such as that. It can be done but will require a lot of welding and letting cool as not to warp. I'd suggest boring the hole out more...

Briggs' Double kart and Locost build

Thanks for the info once again. I was going to order the clear ones, my ceilings are only 8' so glad I haven't ordered them yet. A friend and I are going to split the 10. I found 5 for $90 but cheaper the better.
