Newbe here. I am thinking of building a pole barn & will be using PT 6x6 poles. My question is should I paint the poles where they go into the ground before back filling with dirt or just leave them alone? I have heard not to pour concrete around poles and I think this is for allowing moisture...

Anybody ever use Socketsystems building systems for a small garage? I want to build a 24 x 40 garage & am considering Socketsystems or just a regular Pole Barn. Kind of want to do this myself for the self satisfaction. Any advice would be greatly appreciated Thanks Ed
