Garage door painting?

Has anyone ever painted their garage doors to look like the carriage style doors? I guess I am just to cheap to buy the real deal.
And if you have can you include a pic?

Never have but I don't think it would be that hard given enough planning. Maybe look into some of that paint that will allow you to make faux woodgrains to give the door more character if a wood look is what you are going for.

With proper colors, shadows and shading I think it could be pulled off.

That's actually one of the projects on my list for this summer. We'll have to see how it goes.
