That's actually a GearWrench set for sale at that website, not a K-D set. Because of the GearWrench association with K-D, many distributors accidentally use the K-D brand.
Every trade group/importer calls themselve a manufacturer. I had heard through other Asia Manufacturers that Genius is an importer and has no assets - but I could be wrong. Maybe someone from Asia can chime in - do they actually have a factory?
This is a one piece forge design - no heating and twisting like the old (discontinued) Crescent design. There is not a weak point in the beam due to the 90 degree transition.
Thanks - the patent stamped on that wrench dates to 1993 - it's a David Baker open end design - known in the tool industry.
That line of wrenches is not in production.
