I talked to them, QuickJack at Corvettes at Carlisle and they told me to do that. Didn't end up buying till I have the right project but came close. But more so you do this so you can re-connect the hoses easier not really as it has to do with leaking.

I'm saying that the problem you describe should not happen if the frames are locked. And if you notice leak then DON'T KEEP LIFTING. Unlikely any lift will just start leaking when locked. same for two post four post whatever.

Fine but... they seem to sell a lot of them - ive been watching this product for a while- and this doesnt seem to be a problem. I am guessing that anyone with that problem did not pressurize the cylinders. Have you worked with hydraulic before? No if there is a little leaking you are fine just...

To my knowledge QuickJack has steel on steel locks so why would this be an issue with you under it :headscrat

If you want to do it all, check out a 4 post. I'm happy with my bendpak HD9 and I can park on it too. Might want the casters to keep it mobile.

Does the extra height on the columns actually let cars lift higher or is it taller so trucks or something with a tall roof can be lifted? Probably not as necessary for your Mustangs unless the arms go further up and you're a tall guy, to get underneath and work.

Out of curiosity, what makes you want to buy the maxjax over something like ez car lift, QuickJack or another mid rise lift? still haven't been able to pull the trigger on something. Definitely don't want to be penny wise and pound foolish either.
