    Breaking up old concrete?

The first one (that actually got the jackhammer) was broken down 4-6" below ground level and the sawzall was used to cut out the pipe. It was covered over and grass was planted. The one that's 3'+ deep- We haven't been working on since Tuesday night since the temps were in the 90's and other...

    Breaking up old concrete?

While I definitely appreciate your help, this isn't a sidewalk where I can pry it up and hit it. A buddy tried to move it with his mini excavtor and it didn't budge an inch. I'm not sure how deep in the ground this piece was, but the new project might give me a clue. In between our property...

    Breaking up old concrete?

Well, I don't know a thing about jackhammers. Just that my buddy gave me his that he uses for breaking up concrete floors for installing radon systems. I used the point for the majority and started about 6" in from both sides at the corner. That point was about 4" deep and nothing was breaking...

    Breaking up old concrete?

What did they use in that stuff back then? I have a 16x16" piece with the remnants of a flag pole in it. I tried a 5lb hammer and stone chisel and it didn't even break the dust loose after 5 blows. I borrowed my buddy's 35lb Bosch jack hammer and only got 4" down in an hour! I was using a point...

Local Sears hometown store going out of business

In this case, Sears corperation knows that they're going to close that particular store. Any online sale items are picked up from these stores by their shipping trucks. Meanwhile they announce that they will be closing that store in one month on the news. Everybody goes in to see what's on...

    Broken lever on C'man ratchet

Does anyone know if there's a part# for this or where I can get one? It's a C'man 3/8 drive ratchet and the lever broke on it a while ago. There's no Sears around here anymore.

How do you store your grease guns?

I hang mine on the pegboard and it does leak out the bottom. I took one of those small yellow (it seems that's all they come in. Lol!) pegboard storage containers and hung it below.

    Harbor Freight Tool Class Action

There's a class action lawsuit against Kohls, Sears, Penny's and K-mart (possibly) for the same thing. It was on the national news several months ago. Good for the f+#&ers!

    Propane torch question.

I bought one at HD for $25 that has an ignition built into it and it screws onto the tank. On the back of the handle is the on/off valve. It's in the basement and I'm the only one down there. Should I take the torch off every time? There's only one thing that makes me feel like puking. The smell...

Apex's handling of the Armstrong Brand closure

Call up Snap-on and tell them you want replacements for your entire combo wrench set followed by "They're not broke... Yet. But I want a backup set for 'when they do'." Imagine if everyone who owned an Armstrong wrench called up and said "Hey, I hear you're going out of business. Give me free...

    Small pegboard storage bins

Geez, that's exactly what I was looking for. When I googled it, it showed hf, Uline and even eBay, but they all went on a sliding bracket thing. Thanks.

    Small pegboard storage bins

A couple years ago I bought a 1/4" pegboard kit off of Amazon and it came with 2-3 yellow bins (3x4" maybe). They actually go into the standard pegboard holes, unlike the hf ones. I checked Uline and other places but can't seem to find them. Anyone have any info? Thanks, Fahn

    Another Chinese tool rant :)

On here people talk about craftsman, how'd that work out for them? Trumps twitter about Boeing? The hf attitude on here is more of the "Fool me once. Fool me twice?" thing where guys with $10k+ of Strap-on, Mac, Matco, etc... bought something from hf and is now more-the-wiser.

I'm Losing Sleep Over Bench Grinders (Long rant alert)

My dad used to have a hf bench grinder. It ran fine for the once a week type of grinding you're talking about... But you better make sure that EVERYTHING was cleared off that workbench or it would be on the floor within 2 seconds of turning it on. The wheels were true, the motor was not. That...
