2 years ago, I paid .59/ft a Home Depot for a special order.

I used Armstrong's own adhesive.

I don't even bother with the polish, I don't have that much free time. I just keep the floor clean and dry. I sponge-mop it with Armstrongs Floor cleaner, which does a great job.

I posted some of these a long time ago, but since VCT questions are being asked again.... here's a couple pics of my VCT tiled garage....

No primer's necessary. Just the adhesive and the tile. Anything else is just to pad the bill.

I wouldn't recommend starting in a corner. I'd suggest finding dead center of your garage, then work outwards from there in 4 sections. This ensures even trim sections on every side.

You trowel on a seperate adhesive.

When you need a tool and you need it now, SEARS is an awesome place to go. The Craftsman line that they carry is EXTENSIVE. I needed a 32mm socket the other day to take off my rear wheel.... Home Depot: Hell no, they don't even sell individual sockets. Lowes: They sell individual sockets...

Here's my VCT floor shine solution.

I never get tire marks. I thought I would, hence the reasoning for my choice of black/grey tiles. But to this date, no marks at all. I regularly park 2 bikes and 2 cars in there.

Yup, same thing. Vinyl Composition Tiles. VCT is the came thing as Armstrong Commercial Vinyl Tiles. Gratuitous photo :evil:

Actually, I have a Doberman. He runs across the tiles alright and doesn't leave any scratches at all. It's a little bit slippery for him, but he manages just fine. ;) But yeah, my other half parks a project Del Sol in there. She had a power steering fluid leak and it cleaned up just fine...

Nah, not quite. A dealer is the last step before the customer. It goes Manufacturer, distributor, dealer.

Dedicate at least 1 hour a week to making sure that your garage stays clean and clutter-free. That's what I do. With 168 hours in a week.... you can find at least 1 to devote to your garage.
