Craftsman cart plus harbor freight magnets=organized

It's actually messy right now cause it's been used often and is a work in progress but I'm not a fan of putting things in tool boxes so 14 magnets from harbor freights later I have a friendly mobile setup. At some point the liquids on the bottom are going on another cart with magnets and I'll...

    I'm afraid of heights.

Have a friend with a ****** van or box truck? How high is the garage door? I'm cheap and I would pull it in there and stand on the roof of it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

New Eaton 7.5hp mag starter, it's nice cause I can use it with the 10hp 3phase motor too if I get an industrial work space. Been reading and thinking and most likely ordering an adjustable 215T base frame for the baldor motors when I order the SDS bushing and pulleys for the 7.5hp motor...

Rubber conduit, conduit fittings and sealant came in the mail. I bought a bunch of different steel fittings and pipes for mock up purposes and for painting to protect threads etc. Cheaper than buying a bunch of brass stuff and then having to return it. I'm going to put a plug on the t fitting...

    I'm afraid of heights.

Don't drink coffee if you drink it the days you are doing it. Stimulants in general. Fear is a state of mind. I get nerves from a lot of things with particular liquids. Green tea for me or pot when I'm nerved out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm pretty good at what I do now. I don't sell work, not really interested in it. I can't imagine when this this thing is done how much better it might be with cleaner air. Soda blasting to make cash, ceramics as a hobby for my niece and nephew when I drop dead and maybe worth millions(pipe...

I stripped the heads from paint. first try was just to see if I like it. I haven't decided if I care if I 100% like the fins being bare aluminum. If anything I'm waiting for round two of the next time the heads off and I'll do it with an air grinder. I swapped out some steel fittings for...

The nice thing about this compressor is that it came from an art fabrication and restoration company that works for some of the best artists in the world. It has a bit of history. The art background I have appreciated it and that's what changed with me. I was going to mount it on at trailer...

I get a lot of stuff on eBay but I use mcmastercarr often. I just bought some Black plastic conduit for it on there and fittings for mag and pressure switch and loctite. I ended up going with 545 loctite which is purple and I thought it would look better then any white showing through on...

I almost always wish I bought a bigger one of whatever I buy. I'll be content with the compressor but I want a bigger ultrasonic cleaner now. This is why I'm building a blast setup. Don't like paint that much on anything. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I used air craft stripper to get the paint off the brass and copper and then a rinse in the ultrasonic cleaner. It needs to be tested but it looks like new again. If I can clean and fix it I don't like to replace parts often to be honest Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The steel was a bit rusty but I suspect it was flash rusting from being in the ultrasonic cleaner. Buying this compressor was an impulse buy, but I don't regret it at all. I only regret not soda blasting this thing completely before I took it apart, but besides that it's been ok so far. I...

Ok, sounds good to me. I'm most likely replacing the steel fittings with brass ones since I have them. I planned on using a sealant on all the NPT threads. Honestly I was somewhat shocked a lot of the fittings from the factory didn't have any, I'll look into the 567 Sent from my iPhone...

The quincy has this valve on it but all the pictures I've looked at online of this model doesn't have it. When I turned it over by hand it leaked through it. The pressure gauge mounts on this tee fitting with it. I'm thinking I can delete it. Anyone know the purpose of why it would be there...

I wanted to mount this on the trailer and take the compressor off the tank and mount it Lowe and run it gas but it didn't make sense after awhile to me. Something like so might happen with some 350s that are local to me but first I'm getting this running and need to start making extra cash v.s...

Cause I'm not sure if it's going in this garage or another one and I don't have a cherry picker right this minute. I keep it under a motorcycle waterproof cover. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm not a 100% sure about this reed plate idea. They were hand lapped flat, filed opened a bit, and I used a deburring wheel on my baldor buffer to open the intakes and exhaust a bit and then polished them out a bit more with a buffing wheel. You can't buy the reeds separately so if I want to...

Quincy Qt-15 compressor saga continues reed plates and mods?

The previous owner didn't have air boxes on it and I'm not sure a 100% what it was connected to, to be honest but it did have brass hose fitting on the air box connections and was connected to something. I'm just not sure what and I don't think it helped at all. I'm going to buy new air boxes...
