Are the Koken impact sockets laser etched AND engraved with the sizes?

    10% ethanol gas + STA-BIL as good as ....?

I have a 2003 Triumph Bonneville that I bought new. Over the years I have run commonly available pump gas (~10% ethanol) as well as ethanol-free fuel. The bike calls for 89 octane, with that being the only choice available at the gas station near me that sells ethanol-free fuel. I would say that...

    Anyone order from Franks tools?

I ordered a KTC spark plug socket from Frank this past spring. It made it to my door a few days after I placed the order. Frank has also replied to any emails I have sent him within a day or two. I think anything not in stock coming by way of Japan is currently taking a bit longer due to the...

Leaf blower ordinances and Gas-Powered Leaf Blowers Bans

The Dunning-Kruger effect is strong on this thread. Oh, and I don't know ANY doctor, M.D. or Ph.D., who managed to get their doctorate with a 1.4 GPA. If you do, I recommend you do a little more research on who you're calling a doctor.

Leaf blower ordinances and Gas-Powered Leaf Blowers Bans

I have been reading the posts in this thread from the beginning and have just one comment. As someone currently working in the field of natural resource management with degrees in both the science AND the policy behind environmental affairs, it would behoove many of you to follow the advice of...

Need offset wrenches. Other than Snap on or Mac, who is decent?

Looks like different stampings as well. The SAE set has what appears to be a newer typeface design that I have seen on a few of their other products. Maybe your metric set is just a tad older and they haven't updated the manufacturing tooling to match. Both look nice, though.

    SK Socket Quality

I have a few random pre- and post-Ideal SK sockets and have yet to be as impressed by the brand's quality as others on this board are.

    Tools of Japan

Superautobacs, I enjoy your Japanese tool videos quite a bit. Please keep posting as you add more tools! One question for you regarding Ko-ken/Z-eal and KTC/Nepros ratchets. Does the direction selector switch work like an "American" ratchet (see Snap-on), or is it backwards? Not sure if that...

    Tools of Japan

I believe these are designed for the oil filter covers/caps that can be found on a variety of vehicles. On my 2009 Chevrolet Malibu, you access the filter cartridge on top of the engine by removing the filter housing plastic cap. This cap has a hex nut molded on its top. The socket I have for...

    Anyone using SONIC tools?

Ahh, marketing speak. Justin, I appreciate your reply to this thread to help throw some light on Sonic Tools. However, partnerships don't mean much in the greater scheme of things depending on how the partnership is arranged. Regarding the 50 years the brand has been around, that seems strange...

    Anyone using SONIC tools?

I forgot to mention, I do really like the satin finish. That's another feature I wish would show up on other brands. I think the Facom 440 combo wrenches have a similar finish and I have yet to read anything negative about those wrenches.

    Anyone using SONIC tools?

I find that difficult if not near impossible to believe. I would bet that Sonic does what many others do—pick and choose their product line from a variety of suppliers and then sell to the end user. I agree 100% that the foam organizer trays are something that other brands should get on board...

    Anyone using SONIC tools?

Good question as I have only ever seen this brand pop up on youTube. To me, the sockets look like those sold by OEMTools and a few of their pliers are clearly marked as NWS. A few other companies like Sonic have started appearing (Capri Tools come to mind) and they seem like more of a corporate...

Hi everyone, I have a few assorted tools for sale. A couple are re-lists from an older ad, others are new. Prices listed are without shipping. Buyer is responsible for shipping costs and PayPal fees, but I'll do my best to keep these as cheap as possible. I have had good results with USPS...

    Toolbox Liners good ones?

I tried quite a few until I purchased Nu-Source liners. Best liners I have come across by far and the prices per square foot are great. ERICNUSOURCE is the screen name of the rep here on the boards.

    Recommend an Inch-Pound Torque Wrench

I do have beam style in both 3/8 and 1/2 inch drive. They are fine where space permits but can be a bit of a pain pretty much everywhere else. I am not a pro tech with daily or weekly access to a tool truck, so calibration convenience isn't necessarily a pro/con. I'll have to send it in or hunt...

    Recommend an Inch-Pound Torque Wrench

Hi guys, Looking to add an inch-pound scale torque wrench to my tool box for working on a couple of motorbikes in my garage. Looking to go up to around 200 in-lb. I read some older posts and don't mind spending a few bucks on this type of tool. I see CDI and Precision Instruments both get good...
