The idea with the floor scrubber is to work the product in to the concrete. Depending on the temperature the product will begin gelling. Scrubbing it in will break the surface tension allowing better penetration. Ensure your concrete is clean. I power washed my slab twice prior to...

I found that it was a lot easier to buff the floor AFTER it dried. Using it to work the product in was more difficult. I gave up on that after I did 1000 sq/ft. The other half I just sprayed it on.

Another floor prep thread and TSP and degreaser questions.

Of course one has to follow the approved directions. What miracle is one expecting to find in the warranty? They'll not send anyone over to make it better for him. If it peels, at best, he'll only get enough replacement epoxy to fill in the peeled area. Whoop-dee-doo!! That advice wasn't...

I think he just told you to piss off because you're not using Wolverine products.

Scott, Check this article out: http://www.concretenetwork.com/stains-dyes-buyers-guide/ There is a lot more information out there. Do a google search. I think you should stay away from the pigment based stains as they will fill the pores of the concrete and not allow the densifier to...

When do you plan on doing this? How big is the floor? I am really interested in how this turns out.

Advice needed - building a warehouse garage

Is that mold in the insulation that I see in some of those photos? Certainly a vent or fan is needed to help eliminate condensation and to vent hot air that rises to the ceiling. Here is a link which offers some ideas on fans and vents for metal buildings...

I have considered many different products from several different manufacturers for my project and I have provided links for everyone to do their own research. I've stated from the beginning that I have done my research and chose a particular product and why. This was all done to enable a...

Scott, Thanks for correcting me on that. If you consider your 50 yr old floor to be in pretty good shape then all I would do is power wash it. If you would prefer to clean some of those old oil stains then you can do a little research on the best way to clean that up. Personally I...

Yeah, there are similar benefits but they are completely different animals. Applying this densifier will not mask the fact that this floor is concrete. Some of the other benefits are it will resist tire marks, eliminate concrete dust and resist staining from solvents. The tech sheet says...

It appears that at least one densifier does penetrate what they call a "tightly troweled surface". http://www.euclidchemical.com/fileshare/ProductFiles/techdata/euco_diamond_hard.pdf The densifier that I plan on using Euco Diamond Hard claims just that. And it also claims to have a medium...

Well, now we are getting somewhere. Densifiers will not penetrate a hard troweled surface? Dig deep between the sales pitches from the resident vendors and one can find good advice on the subject thread.

Here we go spending our hard earned money again. One of the great things about the densifiers is it is not complicated to apply and the more it wears the more "polished" it looks. Something similar to the concrete floors you see at Lowes. So the polishing can be done by a) normal wear over...

    best sealant. not epoxy

My interpretation of what you are asking for (based on the title of the thread)is a type of concrete sealer or a densifier and NOT an epoxy. I'd love to put down a $2500 epoxy floor COATING down on my 2000 sq/ft floor BUT I cannot justify the costs. I kept asking myself what is it I want the...

    Pump or Pressure switch question?

I had similar symptoms in 2007. It turns out the splines on the shaft from the electric motor to the pump finally gave out. Unfortunately the part wasn't something that could be replaced and so I had to replace the pump. I think that set me back about $800-ish on a 4 1/2 inch submersible.
