    Add refrigerant oil?

Fellas, I have installed a new to me (used) outdoor condensing unit and matching A coil. I have run my lineset, but haven’t brazed the lines in yet. The house the unit came out of had a 25ft lineset and I ran a new 50ft lineset for my application. I do you think I should add some refrigerant oil?

    Old Delta 17" drill press

I am working on my old 17" delta drill press, converting it from the high speed model, to the slow speed. I have the slow speed pulley for the spindle, but do not have the slow speed pulley for the motor. The part number from the old Delta print outs I have is DP-625 or 1311. I have scoured...

I am searching high and low for a DP-644 pulley for my Delta 17" drill press. I think it is a 30's or 40's vintage machine. Do you all have any recommendations? I have searched google and ebay without any success. Thank you

Waterline to shop, valve box or "Y" off the meter?

So I am going to run a waterline from my meter at the road, to my shop. What I am trying to decide, is should I "Y" off the outlet of the water meter or should I go a few feet away from the meter and put in an underground valve box, and then run to the shop and house from the valve box. The...

Help identify the shelf clips I need for this please

I have this surplus cabinet that has 7/16" square holes in it, apparently for shelf clips. I cannot seem to figure out what type of shelf clip fits this design. Does anyone know what fits it and where I could buy them? :dunno:

Help with an old Delta drill press

I have an old delta drill press that works good, but I think the anvil/spindle is bent. I know parts are obsolete, but I was thinking if someone could help me figure out the model number of the press, I might find a used part somewhere. The only thing on the press is the serial number. I have...

Where did you buy your pallet racking??

Title pretty much says it all. I would like to buy some pallet racking, but I would hate to go to some warehouse supply place and pay a premium. Any ideas? I have checked govdeals and the other gov surplus sites with no luck. :dunno: Thanks

    Ground pigtail sizing

Gentlemen, I had to run 10ga to many of the receptacles in the shop due to distance and voltage drop. I am using spec grade back wire outlets so the 10ga wire on the outlet connections is no problem, but on the ground screw for the outlets, the 10ga stranded is a nightmare. When I get to each...

Bonded or split neutral on unique application

I am installing a small subpanel on my utility pole. It is a four space, main lug, sub panel. This panel will be on the same panel as the meter. The meter is a 200a disconnect with "Triple tap." Similar to Milbank U9647N-RL-200...

voltage drop and ground sizing question

So I ran a bunch of outlets with 12ga stranded thhn and 12ga ground in 1/2" emt. All on 20a breakers. Now I am worried the runs are too long for the voltage drop. I think they are around 120-165 feet. 1) do you think I should rerun with 10ga? 2). Can I leave the 12ga ground wire for the...

Switch leg question about the code

If I am running emt conduit to a two pole switch some distance from the light, can I just run the two black switching wires and a ground in that emt run or do I need to run the neutral also? If I have to run the neutral also, do I just loop it in the box? I know I technically dont have to run...

Barn tin surface mounting electrical tip I learned

I thought I would share this because it worked out great. Inside walls of our barn is finished with the same tin that is on the outside, only white. The problem then is the 3/4" high ribs keep you from flush mounting your 4x4 boxes without numerous bends EMT. What I found is 1/2" angle...

    Concrete crack evaluation / questions

I was hoping some concrete wizards could tell me if this is going to be a problem. I have a 48x75 floor that was poured in late October of 2013. It has developed several cracks across the 48' length. It was sawed a couple days after the floor was poured, but I do not think the saw cuts were...
