    i use the athermal gold lens. Very good IMO. used to get them from Philiips safety but last few I got were junk. can find them on ebay every now and again. They say "athermal" on the lens. about $20. Dave

    the bosch 18v litheon has been out several years, the Milwaukee fuel is pretty recent, wonder why the milwaukee is better? I've been happy with my bosch tools.

    I weld for a living. I use fibre metal pipeliners. These hoods will last forever. They won't burn up like a plastic hood. Plus that cool skull and bones or flames helmet does nothing for the quality of welds. go where folks weld for a living, pipeliners and tigerhoods are what you will find...

    haven't used the milwaukee line, but have 3 drills, 2 impactors and about 10 batteries from bosch 18v litheon lineup. I really like em. 2.0 ah batteries had be had on ebay for about $30-40 bucks. Dave

    stick with nitrile with oil, lubes, petro type stuff, latex with melt away.

    Cold Cut Saw vs Bandsaw

    the dry cut saws work great. i use a dewalt at work. Only thing is its very easy to damage a high dollar blade. also the vise / clamp on the saws are the key to blade longevity. if the metal slips while cutting ( esp 45* cuts) it can damage the blade. Dave
